Sobe would not appreciate checking out the snow in his 17.5 year old body.  He didn’t appreciate being tossed in the snow in Colorado when he was much younger.   ;D

She was quite literally built for this weather haha (at least 50% anyways). We took a video of her trying to catch snowballs too. She's now napping like a baby on her beanbag LOL

hahahaha yeahh I don't imagine cats in general loving the snow in general, let alone being tossed into it LOL and definitely not at 17.5 years old.

We've decided we want to see our cats' reactions to snow so I'm going to fill one of those big gardening tubs and bring it inside to see what they make of it!  ;D

Yeah, more than once in Colorado I scooped up a cat and plopped them in the snow to see what they would do.  Every time, it was "make a beeline for the house and shake paws like mad once inside."

Similar reaction to being tossed in piles of leaves - minus the paw shaking!

But yes, please video!

We have three borzois who are Russian dogs... the snow all kinda balls up in their paws which they hate!!  They are all in front of the fire at the moment.  We are in Dorset and also have three horses.  It's blizzarding outside and I'm putting off going outside and attending to their hay etc!!  Want to stay in with dogs.  Someone said put shortening on their paws to stop the snow build-up....?
 :o
If you're lucky enough to ride a horse, you're lucky enough xx

Hi Liza!  Am I correct in thinking you are new to the forum?  Welcome!  I fully support staying in with the dogs and keeping warm and dry.

Shortening?  Like Crisco?  Can you get that here?

Hi Liza!
I've seen dog booties online which sound a lot less messy than shortening!  ;D
