Velveeta and customs
« on: March 29, 2018, 10:02:20 AM »
Hi folks,

I'm fielding a slightly odd query here: if someone's bringing Velveeta cheese (from the box, so the packet one) into the UK from the US, does this have to be declared at customs? Is it allowed to be brought in?

I'm afraid I have no idea about this stuff!

I bring Velveeta back all the time.  I don't declare it.

I've never declared it as I believe it's processed within an inch of it's life and no longer dairy.   ;D

I'm in the states still...get resupplies of Bisto and OXO from my SO with each trip. Don't know how I managed without them. No Chutney either...people here think it must be an STD.

Question. Has Velveeta ever been determined through independent testing to actually be cheese? The label "Cheese Product" has to be a ruse.

He's got the chutney.
