Well, technically, it wasn't me - I was forecasting the weather there so that all those people could do their jobs :).

I'd write shipping/sailing forecasts for the dive boats (and large ships coming in), aviation forecasts for the planes flying across the continent and landing in remote areas, and public weather-style forecasts for the field guides and research teams out in the field so they would know what conditions to expect for their work.
