Some days I don't worry about it at all but today, ugh I can't stop!! I'm like questioning everything! I think we're okay on his payslips, they look legit to me. Fingers crossed those letters are good enough without signatures. yep, what if?! UGH!

I should look at it like that! Thanks lady, hopefully we have good news in a month or so!!

My dad told me last night, "I am so proud at what you and Tom have accomplished. You're going to reflect a year from now and wonder how did we do that?"

It made me be proud of myself for doing such a big adult thing! You should too!!

Though the worrying is justified. I wasn't trying to say it wasn't.....it's easy to say "Don't worry" after your approval has arrived. But I was in your shoes literally a week ago...!!

My dad has said a similar thing! "You worked SO hard on your visa." This is adulting at it's finest!! I couldn't believe how much work it was. I didn't expect that. At least now we can say we did everything we possibly can on it. I did feel very accomplished after submitting it along with a sick stomach feeling, as you would after a test/exam!! eek!

Oh for sure. Just praying now that I did everything correctly!!

Thanks so much for the chat! Means a lot! x

I was in my late 30s when I applied, and my dad said the same thing to me.  <3

Hi there! I'm hanging in there today. A lot better than yesterday!  ::) to be honest, I'm still stressing about our application but trying to find ways to distact me! It means a lot that you asked. Thank you ☺️ I went out for happy hour today with a friend, so that was good to vent it out and get out of the house. When do you leave?

I don't know what it is today, but I can't stop thinking about my visa. I'm going over everything in my head and I'm worried about a few things. I feel like we missed out on a few things. I didn't have my husband's landlord sign his letter (he left all of his details on the bottom tho) but it shows his email address. This was the same with my husband's sponsor letter with his work email signature.  Also, I was worrying about the boarding passes as I put two from the delta trip details out of the 12 I printed. Am I just driving myself too crazy?! My husband says I need to stop worrying. but this is just SO Hard!

Don't know if it's any consolation but I am similar... Like I think about the fact that my husband never dated his sponsor letter or that I didn't have a certified/notarized copy of his passport photo page. So I totally get your worries. I'm there with you. I think the only thing that has kept me distracted the last week is that he and my stepdaughter have been here visiting me. But they are leaving today and I don't even know if my little heart can handle it.
I think it was maybe ksand or kfdancer who said that the visa is basically just a checklist visa. As we meet the specified requirements, the ECO just checks them off. I keep reminding myself of that every time my mind wants to torture me about the minutiae. As long as we meet those requirements and show that we do, we will get approved. We are going to be fine.  ;)

The letter doesn't need to be dated within a certain time frame and they have been accepting uncertified passport copies,  so no worries there.  :)

Well, that's definitely good to know! It's just crazy how your mind can be your own worst enemy though. My head has come up with so many reasons why it's not going to work out. But I always just shut it down and try to speak some positivity to myself.

I hear ya girl. I keep going through EVERYTHING I/we submitted in my head and I'm second guessing myself. I know I need to STOP! I'm definitely doing the same to be positive and trying my best to shut it out. and for sure drinking more wine than I normally do haha.

Wine solves everything! LOL! Yeah, we just have to keep being positive and preparing for our move. I'm packing things and getting rid of things I don't want/need. All steps in the right direction!  :D

So I have to say this. I realized the other day that my husband's paychecks are digital and submitted without a letter confirming that they are legit. I am freaking out about it. I honestly thought they were legit!! I really had NO idea. I did read on the rules that "the payslips and employer’s letter referred to in paragraph 2 may be replaced by other evidence providing the relevant information in paragraph 2." Is this saying that it can be replaced by the p60 and contract? So we might be okay? I really hope we have enough evidence supporting that he really does work there. ahhhh I really don't know what to think right now.

Hmm....Did you have the employer letter? That might be enough to prove that the payslips are indeed legitimate, but I would wait until one of the experts on here get back to you....That's a tough one! My husband's employer signed each individual payslip with the date (within 28 days of the online application) with the words "true copy" on each one. Even though you didn't have a "certified" page, was there anything to that degree on the payslips?

Sit tight...I know one of the experts will be able to help better than me. Hoping that the employer letter is sufficient!
Were his bank statements original/certified? Those cannot be printed from home, and if they are, they must be certified from the bank as well.

Yes! I do have the employee letter with everything they need on it. I'm not sure if it says true copy, I'll have to look at it again. There might be something on there along those lines. Also added his P60 and employee contract.

Yes, I know for sure the bank statements are official as they were sent in the mail from the bank.

I'll have a look at it again.
