Two at once! Does it go fast too?  Quite slippery?

This thread has gone "downhill".......very quickly.........

At least it hasn't gone through the backdoor.

Yes, it's great.  Based on molded styrofoam not plastic.  Comfortable yet aerodynamic.

Aerodynamic... that's something I wouldn't have thought to look out for.  But I like the idea of the styrofoam instead of plastic.  Gentler ride.

Sorry. Rant and thread hijack over.
I can't hear the difference either other than apparently Sian is said much more nasally than Sean/Shaun...
I had to call someone with that name I tried listening had colleagues say it, now had hubby say it... It all sounds the same to me.

Then again my husband can't say "bubble" in an American way so to each their own.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

We have a Sian in my office, and everyone pronounces her name like 'Shan', rather than 'Shawn/Shaun'.

Oi!  Do I have to get the Lysol out, here?  [Said in the tone of "don't make me come up there"  or "I don't care who started it, I'm finishing it."]

I like youse guys. You're funny.

I just wanted to let everybody know they can get a great deal on a Chester Draws on ebay right now!  No bids yet!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chester-Draws/282920579740

It's not too late...   :D

...to bid on this wonderful, avant-garde piece of modern art. A one of a kind, original piece which will only increase in value as this most talented new artist becomes more widely recognised.  :D

Hah!  Thanks, Larrabee!

The piece was successfully sold on Saturday, and will be shipping out to its proud(?) new owner in tomorrow's post.  I hope they enjoy it as much as I have.

(Honestly, person who probably isn't anonymous, but I'm not saying who you are in case you want to avoid attention... I didn't expect anybody to actually buy the drawing!  You made me laugh so hard when you bid.  Then you got outbid ??! and then you bid again!  This thing went so much further than I ever imagined it would.  Thanks for playing along.  And if you genuinely like the drawing, I must say you have an excellent eye for art.  ;)  )

I needed an original JF Kimberley piece in my life!  Let me know what the difference is in postage.  I'm sure I didn't pay enough to cover it.  :)

The real question is "do I officially count as somebody's muse now?!" (Or, I guess, my facebook?)
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019

Oh, no... You saw the description.  I am sending it "free within the UK, sandwiched between two layers of heavy duty cardboard via Royal Mail employing the least expensive shipping method available."  I made sure the minimum bid would be enough to cover the postage, in case anybody accidentally bought it.  ;)  Though I suppose if you want better than 2nd class post, I could sort that out...

Last night, my husband was all, "I think I have a shipping tube in the loft..."  He is concerned about the rigidity of cardboard I was planning to use, and the relative ease with which it may bend along the corrugation while it's in the post.  But my concern is the weight of the art paper makes it pretty stiff so I don't know if it'll roll up easily to fit in a tube.  Oh!  I just realized I have just the thing!  There was some weird particle board backing that came with our aluminium kick plate strips when we made the reception desks.  I just need to cut a piece to size and it'll be perfect.

Anyway, we are definitely handling your new work of art with care.  ;)

Definitely!  I think you will recall the description said 'you' inspired the piece.  Though, of course, I didn't name you, specifically... But you're totally my muse!  There!  I've said it, and now all of UKY knows!
