  Then you got outbid ??!

I'd like to know who the other bidder was! Was it one of us or a real, live member of the public?  :D

Same! I would f**king pee myself laughing if it was just some random who stumbled upon it and was like "NICE. This is EXACTLY what I wanted when I searched Chester Draws"

Hah!  You really did get excited.  You're the best!  :)

I'd like to know who the other bidder was! Was it one of us or a real, live member of the public?  :D

I laughed so hard when KF's bid appeared*, but then I was completely baffled when the other bid popped up.  Your ebay name was obvious, but the other bidder's name I couldn't even begin to guess.  There was nothing to make it obviously one of us from the forum.

* Edited to add: Even though I put in shipping details, I didn't really expect anybody to take this so far as to actually buy it.  I was trying to be a ridiculous as I could in the listing.  But then someone made it real!  My husband enjoyed watching me try to figure out how to package it up.  Still, I made a tidy profit of almost 50p.  ;)

Same! I would f**king pee myself laughing if it was just some random who stumbled upon it and was like "NICE. This is EXACTLY what I wanted when I searched Chester Draws"

It had over 150 views.  It could have happened!  But I don't think so.  :p

For all intents and purposes, this - in my mind - is what has happened :)

Only JF will know.  When I looked, it *** out a lot of the user name.

I pleased as punch.  If I ever leave the UK, it'll be a fantastic reminder of my time here.  I feel like it should be the new downstairs bathroom art.  A real conversation piece.   :D

It had over 150 views.

Most of them were probably mine. I kept going back to read that genius listing!  ;D

I wonder if it counts multiple visits from the same computer, or if it uses cookies to discount repeated visits.  Maybe it was you, but maybe 150 people actually looked at the listing because they wanted a chest of drawers, but they also are KoD's worst nightmare.  ;)

I saw a listing once, it was literally a piece of A4 paper crumpled into a ball by the  little girl of the guy who wrote it! He'd used words cleverly too, it was very cute.

KFd, time to put your girl to work!  ;D

My husband bought this pre-me.  It's actual art.  The dude paints the scene and then paints the people and animals with his left hand.  It was purchased from a gallery.

We have another piece by the dude in our family room.  It's cute as it's a family sitting on the sofa - above the sofa.  lol!
