eBay may be cheaper than Amazon.

It's not, I checked!  :)

I've lived in the U.K. for a week now & I'm telling you, I 'miss' the oddest things- mouthwash, lip balm, detergent, sunscreen (always important- sun or not!)
It only gets worse ;) I have allergies so there aren't UK acceptable subs for most of the products I struggle with that cost less than importing them from the US.  Vitacost and IHerb both ship to the UK but the import duty is a pain with IHerb, I think you can pay it at checkout on Vitacost.

You can get also get higher potency food grade peroxide on amazon, I use it as a non chlorine bleach. :)

I'm sure I do. It's just tough to coordinate all that, given how busy everyone is. I will figure it out, though.

Do you have anyone who could send you a care package?

If you happen to get visitors from the states, pay for them to check an extra bag and fill that sucker up! My mom is bringing me some of my US essentials that way.  8)

I will have a wee look, is that the white bottle, not the clear bottle?  I think that I've seen that product in the JnJ shop at work.

What lipbalm are you looking for? I've found a lot of them available here (at least on Amazon).

I miss my murad moisturizer, it's a UK company but they don't seem to carry the one I want anywhere. *sigh*

(PS Don't go to Taco Bell expecting the same flavors. They regionalize the food. If you like Pizza Hut, it's close - and they have some flavors that are interesting as well. Dominoes has a chicken tika pizza that is nice. Not a flavor you'd think of on a pizza, but ya have to be open to new things!)

Oh. Lip balm. If you do Burt's Bees, they have that here.  ;D

Really? I found Taco Bell's normal beef hard shell tacos and the chicken quesadilla to be the same. Just with all beef rather than what they serve in the US. Not sure of the other stuff, since I don't eat any of it.

I didn't think Domino's or Pizza Hut were remotely like what they're like in the US. Closest one to US version has been my local Papa John's. They are the only one's with a pepperoni I like.

Yeah, they regionalize the food. Taco Bell tastes nothing like Taco Bell in SoCalif. But then, Taco Bell up in like Minnesota (if there is one up there ) probably doesn't taste like Taco Bell in So. Calif. They adjust to the local markets. In Glasgow, for instance, the "hot sauce" is all kind of vinegary and "odd", and they serve an awful lot of chips.... ;)

Post back up there a bit. Vitacost. If you have VAT due (and not everything does, I don't think - I think unprocessed food items, like flours, etc. are VAT free. Maybe.) you can either pay a flat 20% tax at the time you ship and they promise it'll come through with no further charges. (However, you get no refund if some of the stuff isn't taxable.) Or there's a slightly cheaper option, but you have to deal with VAT and the Post Office's screwyou tax (the 8 pound handling fee) if you goof and have more than about $20 worth of items in the box that are subject to VAT. The shipping itself is pretty cheap.

:) hehe. Funny you should mention it, but my Minnesotan friend and myself (Colorado) both thought that the beef tacos and quesadilla in Sheffield and Nottingham tasted just like they did back in the States. Maybe SoCal is special? It would make sense since it's from Cali.

Yes, a white bottle.
The top portion of the bottle advertises "whiter teeth in 5 days,"
(rather than the usual 2 weeks that's advertised on the type of Listerine I DON'T like-- also in a white bottle- very tricky!)
Cheers!

Oh, god, the quesadillas we split at Taco Bell in Glasgow a couple of months ago were awful. The tortilla was right, the cheese was good (although a bit different), but the sauces were entirely different. (Daughter bought one kind, I bought the other, and we split and shared.)

Yeh, SoCal is special.   ;)
Burger King, on the other hand, tastes exactly the same here and there. As does 5 Guys. Except for the onions are a bit different, and the fries are just a bit different. (Not at all bad, but different varieties of veg that grow here, I think.) 5 Guys makes an excellent hot dog. Just have to ask them to leave it on the grill a little longer so it's a little bit charred. Mmmm!  We tend to go in there now when going downtown, and have a dog-n-fries. They have very nice fries....

Crud, now I want a hot dog and fries. Must resist... must resist....must resist. (I'm on a diet.)

Back to the Listerine - do you have a B&M Bargains in your area? If so, it's worth a look to see if any of these meet your Listerine craving. B&M and Home Bargains are my local go-to for a variety of items that are way cheaper than anywhere else. Both stock a few American products that are the Real McCoy.

(I personally preferred Scope to Listerine, but am just as happy with alcohol-free Aquafresh that I buy here.)
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)

Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

@vadio I do have a B&M. Was there on the weekend frantically searching for Tide 😂
Will check again for the Listerine, just in case!
I don't know if we have a Home Bargains around, but will look for one!
Thanks!
