SSSSSSUUUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
« on: April 18, 2018, 11:18:41 AM »
Holy Moly what is this bright glowing ball in the sky?  And the blue stuff around it?

Anyone else sad to be working today?

I have declared that we need a big team meeting at the pub garden for lunch.  I've had no complaints!

I had breakfast in the garden. It was lovely! I bet your team is happy to have you as their boss today. ;)

I'm sorry.  I can't participate in this forum today.  Sunshine happened.  And it's warm*, too!  <in heaven>

* If you'd asked me 6 years ago if I thought 62F was warm, I'd have laughed at you and looked for my sweater.

I admit I was still wearing a sweater, and a hat. I'm actually allergic to sun :( But it's so inviting!

I'm definitely a bit pink!

Yeah, they all thought we were being so naughty.  I need to break them a bit.  It was a one hour lunch break....  it's okay people.  (one team members birthday, it needed to be done).  I made sure we spoke briefly about work (what holidays people had coming up and to let me know if they needed me to cover any critical activities).   ;D

I wish I'd ordered those zero-gravity loungers now!  It's a bit breezy, but totally acceptable.  Short sleeves, even!  I never go short-sleeved!

Note: This is not actually me.  This is Domo, obz.  But I am relaxing in the same spot with regular sunglasses because the pizza ones don't fit me.  :(

We had an email blast that Ice Cream Man is coming this afternoon at 4:30.

People are freaking out.  "Ice Cream Man!"  You'd think they were giving puppies away.

Eeeek!  Great idea!  I have three flavours of ice cream, cheap Tesco choc-ices and Magnum ice cream bars in the freezer!  I'm doin' it!  I wish I had a cone... my mint chip on a cone would be so awesome.  *sigh*

With sprinkles and chocolate sauce....

What I wouldn't do for some proper hot fudge!

I've been eating Fab ice lollies all winter. I am weird!  ;D

ps if you brush your teeth then have a choc ice,  it'll taste a bit like mint choc chip!   ;D

That is an awesome idea, larrabee... I'll try it when I've run out of mint chip.

And now, I will share a tip: Lotus Biscoff biscuits do not substitute for an ice cream cone.  Get the real thing or skip it altogether.  Also, Carte D'Or's mint chip is not as good as the one I had outside Salisbury Cathedral two summers ago (or I really need ice cream cones).  I need to find out what that brand was.

Still, I sat in the sun and ate ice cream.  Great day!

I can't even explain to my husband what that is!  Maybe it exists by a different name here.  I don't know.  But I miss it too.   <sigh>

I find the mint chocolate chip over here tastes pretty darn close to the US versions. Do you guys think differently?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

No, I agree.   I am not displeased with my ice cream options.  Of course, every brand has their own recipe, and the ice cream cone I had 2 summers ago was one of the best I've ever had... I'd like more of that.
