Document checklist
« on: April 27, 2018, 08:27:05 PM »
Would someone be kind enough to repost the full document checklist for a spousal settlement visa, I've know there was one posted but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks.

You'll get a quicker reply if you post this in the Visas and Citizenship section.  As for a checklist, there isn't a single one-size-fits-all one that serves everybody, because everybody's circumstances will be unique.  But in general, you will need the following evidence:

Financial:
Bank statements for either 6 or 12 months, depending on what category
Payslips for either 6 or 12 months, if category A or B
Letter from employer verifying type of employment, annual pay, whether salaried or non-salaried, title, etc.

Accommodation:
If you own your home, a copy of the land registry document and mortgage statement
If you rent, copy of your tenancy agreement, and a letter from the landlord saying it will be okay for the applicant to live there.

Relationship evidence:
Marriage certificate
If you currently live together, evidence of cohabitation
If you don't live together, evidence of how you have kept in contact

For a more specific list of what you need to provide, you should post in the other section with the details of your situation.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)
