Lyonaria, how was the sat nav part?  I haven't heard any feedback on that change.

Ooh, I forgot about the changes!  Was the sat nav destination put in by the examiner, or were you meant to find a safe place to stop to do it?
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Yay!
I passed my practical driving test this morning.

Just 3 minors and my examiner was really nice.

We were the last ones to leave and the first ones to get back. Haha.

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

Mmmmm, Taco Bell.  I need to go sometime.  They opened one about 40 minutes away.

It was really easy. Not quite what a normal satnav does, it was a lot simpler.
Didn't give street names or cardinal directions, just left, right, straight ahead and exit numbers if needed. The examiner set it and it started as I was leaving the test center.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Congratulations I remember feeling so happy after passing my test and it was so great to have the freedom of driving and having that independence !!!
My home for 18 years since June 2002. Became a citizen 2006
