Ok we’ll do that, just thought about getting the biometrics done before he came so we could send it off together. But best to be safe and know we have everything.

How long will he be visiting?  I submitted my application online on a Friday, did my biometrics the following Monday, and posted my application Monday afternoon.  It's possible he could be there to send it off with you.

Unfortunately it’s just for the weekend, as it’s for a wedding. At least we will have all the evidence in hand and we can complete the online application together.

You can always start the online application now, but not actually submit it until he gets there. Most of the online questions are generic questions about you anyway and are pretty much the same for all visa types :).

Have you printed and completed VAF4a Appendix 2 yet?

It's the second half of the application form and contains all the questions about how you meet the spousal visa requirements:

Yeah we’ve completed the VAF4a appendix 2. Can’t wait to get this visa sent off! We’ll do a final checklist when we have everything together and completed, so we can confirm with you all we have everything. This forum has been amazing in helping us get everything together, I don’t think we can thank you enough!

Just to clarify things that needed to be dated within 28 days -
Payslips
Bank statements
Letter from employer

The certified copy of the passport is from the 10th May is that still ok? He flew to the US the day after this for the wedding so that stamp isn’t on one of the pages, so not sure if that’s a big deal.

Correct, it's just the financial requirement that the 28 days pertains to.

That's fine.

So we got the last bank statement today. Was told in branch that a stamp wasn’t needed as it states in the top right corner of the front sheet that it was ‘printed in branch on 25 June 2018 at 15:53’. It only says this on one of the sheets and is a continuous statement to cover the last days from the previous statement. Should they all be stamped? Or have what I have ok?

What you have should be fine, because it says ‘printed in branch’ on it.

You only need to get them stamped if you have printed them at home.

So getting final things up together, we’re expediting the visa. Is there a different address for this? Do we write ‘expedited’ on the envelope as well?

Thanks guys!

Everything is processed at the same address, though it’s not called ‘expediting’ anymore, it’s Priority Processing. The only difference between sending it Priority and sending it Non-Priority is where in the queue your application is placed when it arrives.

You’ll need to purchase the Settlement Priority Service here, along with shipping labels (which are near the top of the page):
https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/usa/user_pay_services.html#Settlement-priority-visa-service

Just follow the instructions on that page.

You will need to write SETTLEMENT PRIORITY SERVICE in very large letters on the outermost packaging.
