Ingredients: Essential oils of Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Cajeput, Wintergreen, Juniper and Clove.

Oohh interesting. Never heard of Cajeput before. I’ll be on the look out for this EO blend.

Thanks for the recommendation!
Looks like that's a variety of Melaleuca (another plant in the same family as the more well known tea tree oil). :)

I'm learning loads on this thread. I've been having wretched hayfever this year. I normally use Cetirizine on a daily basis, but it's not touching all of it (I dread to think if I don't use it what I would feel like!)  - I like to garden, so I'm outside a lot, so I am going to try the petroleum jelly up the nose trick.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I used olbas in the bath when I was a kiddo, dang. That was like 17+ years ago. Haha.

Is it still green?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I carry a small travel tub of peteoleum jelly in my bag for this purpose. One time i couldnt find it on my way to my cousin’s house who has a dog so out of desperation i used my son’s A & D diaper ointment hahaha! Without it i’d only last 15 mins in a room with a non-hypoallergenic dog before i start having difficulty breathing.

A girl at work gets bees wax and puts it up her nose. She says it really helps.

Burt's Bees is beeswax lip balm, with peppermint oil in it.  I've been using that just outside my nose for years.  It is lovely.  I don't know if it would block allergens from being absorbed, but it's very good at opening closed airways and soothing a chapped nose.

My seasonal rhinitis became soooo much worse here. Doesn’t help that we live in a valley either. I have to pay special attention in April & October when the weather makes a permanent shift. If I make it through those few days I’m fine. Prior to being proactive I’d end up with headaches and fever and bedridden for 2 days. My defense mechanisms that I use when I know it’s that time of year...

-Teaspoon of local (within 3 miles) honey daily

-Neti pot/some type of sinus flush 1-2 times a day

-always carry saline spray on me. I give nose a good spray and blow when I come in from outside. It’s one of the things I load up on when in US as it’s dirt cheap. Also continue to use it all summer. Especially when just out of bed

-latest addition: Hopi ear candle prior to “the season” to clear out whatever may be lurking there

-Clarityn or drug of choice. GP said keep an eye on the temperatures. When the permanent shift is coming (eg we usually go from high of 7 to high of 12 or vice versa really quickly) take it for about 5 days

Anything to flush the bad stuff out is my friend!!!
