Genuinely shocking. You need to speak 2 languages, have a degree, AND know multiple programs to qualify for a FREE 3 month internship in LONDON where you will also have to pay out the nose commuting there if you don't already live there.....How ridiculous!
My, how time flies....

* Married in the US and applied for first spousal visa August 2013
* Moved to the UK on said visa October 2013
* FLR(M) applied for  May 2016. Biometrics requested June 2016. Approval given July 2016.
* ILR applied for January 2019 (using priority processing). Approved February 2019.
* Citizenship applied for May  2019
* Citizenship approved on July 4th 2019
* Ceremony conducted on August 28th 2019

Oh, please let me bring my degree, skills and knowledge to work for you in exchange for... uh... more skills and knowledge?  Umm, no thanks.  If I'm the person described here, I already have everything I need to actually get paid.  Like, real money.
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

I found it on Reddit and they were certainly gathering pitchforks and torches there.  I'd bet the person who posted it (probably and unpaid intern themselves) is out of a job.

Sadly, I bet they aren't. I imagine they will defend their stance somehow.

While this is the worst "opportunity" I've seen, the sad thing is that I've seen a lot of similar very special internships in my UK job hunt. And almost all of them seem to be in the London area! I'm against all unpaid internships, unless the intern is a student getting school credit.

I do think even the majority of students here seem to get paid internships during uni! I think the US should totally follow suit! I remember in uni having an internship that was just another thing on top of my classes that I didn't get paid for so I had to balance classes, an internship, AND a job.
