Help with this online question
« on: May 18, 2018, 03:43:30 PM »
So the last question ask who are you staying with in the UK.

When it gets to the relationship part these are the options.

For my daughter application-I don't see a Father/Dad Option, what do I put here? This is a mandatory question. Any help will be appreciated

TIA

Sorry, what is the relationship?

Am I right in thinking, from your previous posts, that you have one son from a previous relationship and one daughter with your U.K. spouse?

If that’s the case then only your son needs a visa, because as long as your husband was born in the UK, your daughter is a British citizen and does not need a visa to move to the U.K. You just need to apply for her U.K. passport before you move to the UK

Oh, actually, just seen another of your posts - your husband has ILR and not UK citizenship?

No he's her biological dad but I don't see that as an option.

Is anybody able to help me with this? Is it a glitch on the website? Can I write the answer in? Is that allowed?

It might be that it’s not an option on there because usually the child of the U.K. sponsor will be a U.K. citizen and won’t need to apply for a visa.

I would probably just select the closest option (maybe stepfather?) and then correct it in pen once you have submitted and printed the application.

Okay thank you so much....I know if she was born there with his ILR, she would have been able to get citizenship but she wasn't and I'm just not sure. But she needs a Visa to enter the country to legally live.

Just make sure that you explain the situation clearly and concisely in your letter, so there is no chance of confusion.

What has just been discussed in this thread. The reason you have had to alter the entry on the form, the relationship of your child to your partner and the reason she is not British.

Okay thank you. Do I put that in my cover letter?
