What a day!
« on: May 19, 2018, 07:58:39 PM »
Got up, finished packing.

Left the house at 9:30 to make our way to Windsor.  By 10:35 we’re in the thick of it all and by 11 had our picnic area claimed.

Bought a Pimms for £12 (yes, just a single glass), had a picnic, watched the bride whizz by on arrival.  Watched the wedding on the big screens.  Had a decent view of the procession.  Returned to the car and headed to the airport.

Now I’m using WIFI on a flight for the first time on our way to Croatia.

I got a sunburn though.  Even though I was in the shade until the walk at the end AND I had sunscreen on.   ::)

But it was a great day to be British.  I got a little misty eyed singing God Save the Queen. She’s my queen now.   :D

Oh, wow... and I was happy to just spend time in the workshop and in the garden with my husband.  Your day sounds amazing.

Have a fantastic holiday, and if you do the thing, I wanna hear how it goes!

Bought a Pimms for £12 (yes, just a single glass),

The jug was £27 with an additional £10 deposit...not even joking. We obviously got one.

Wish we had been closer to you! Glad you all made it to Windsor and made it to your flight in time :) My chest looks like a tomato from the sunburn but it was definitely fun!

Enjoy your holiday :D

I know, the jug was much better value.  But I knew I’d be the only one drinking it.

I think we were really really close to each other.  Were you guys on the side with the Pimm bus or across the street?

On the side with the Pimms bus. We were right by one of the massive screens (but further away from the screen as was by the road)

If only phone signals were better!  We were on the same side then.  Oh well!

Yeah the signal was awful because of how overcrowded the lines were! One minute you'd have 4G and things wouldn't be sending and it would cut to no signal. Glad you guys were able to stop though and didn't get stuck there
