Form Placement
« on: May 21, 2018, 11:04:22 PM »
I'm trying to organize my paperwork. Originally, we were going to get married in the UK so I have a marriage approval letter and I was also denied entry into the UK so I need to include those forms as well. Were would I put them? I plan on explaining them in my cover letter.

Thank you.

I would go with:

- Priority Processing receipt (if purchasing)
- return shipping label
- 1 cover letter explaining refusal
- online application form
- Appendix 2 form
- IHS surcharge receipt
- current US passport
- previous passports
- passport photo
- refusal paperwork

I’m not sure if you need to include the letter about the marriage approval as it is not relevant to your application.

All it shows is that you have already given notice to marry, which means that you don’t need to give notice after arriving in the UK.

I would just have your sponsor mention it in passing in their letter of support.

Thank you. Should I not include the marriage approval form? I think it's a great way of showing our relationship since the interview took 5 hours, LOL.

I just edited my post above to include more information as I thought of it.

Honestly, it’s up to you if you want to include it.

What they look for with the relationship evidence is that you have been in regular contact during the relationship... and the letter doesn’t prove that, so it may not be considered.

Thank you. I guess I'll throw it in in the end. Can't hurt. :)
