Your experience flying with Northwest
« on: December 11, 2004, 09:15:29 AM »
Hi :)

Just wondering if anyone has flown Northwest to the USA. They seem to have cheaper rates at times and am just wondering what they are like to fly.

I would appreciate any comments on previous flying experiences with Northwest. Topics of particular interest to me for a trans-atlantic flight are:

Degree of service in coach--how often is tea, water, and coffee offered (BA is good at doing this at regular intervals)

Inflight entertainment--do you have a personal monitor on your seat or is it shared entertainment on a communal tv screen

Seat and legroom

Luggage allowance

Again, any comments appreciated. Also, if you have found a particular airline that you love to fly b/c they have in your opinion an excellent rating on the above topics, please share.

TiA.

Flew with them, Gatwick to MSP and on to Denver, and return flights, in January.  Courteous staff, very easy immigration at MSP, and good arrangements made when there was a problem on the way back ... those are my memories.  I've forgotten the service, etc, so I'm guessing it was good but not out-of-this-world.  I would certainly fly with them again.
