If we had a built in fryer, we would quickly devolve to eating fried pizza and mars bars for most meals.

Seriously.  Monte Cristo sandwiches, donuts, fried ice cream.

In my research, I learned that wonton wrappers can be used to make pizza rolls, like Totino's horrible-delicious things.  It is so happening.  My husband will be horrified!  Wheeeee!

Oh, did I mention we tried making churros last Saturday?  We didn't have piping tips, so they look like dough poops, but they tasted amazing!  (I have since bought a small set of piping tips, so we'll try again and they'll have the right shape to hold the cinnamon sugar better.)  It was my first time making choux pastry, and it will not be the last.

I found a choux recipe yesterday... I didn't realise that's how you make churros. I need a fryer!

I didn't, either, but this woman with purple hair told me it was, so I tried it.

I have absolutely no complaints.

It's rare for me to eat deep fried anything, and if I do, it usually makes me feel not so good, so I would probably quite enjoy baked egg rolls.
I love our Actifry and we have a basket to put in instead of the paddle.  It makes very good onion bhajis and pakoras, 'fried' chicken, 'fried' fish, and great chips.  So I imagine the egg rolls would be good for my tastes.   :)
Not sure I can be bothered with the faff though, lol!

We used to get these when I was a kid, and they were so tasty:

I only had eggrolls when we got them from a restaurant (or a drive-through shack in Cleveland that had the best ones ever... I don't know if they're there anymore, though).

Actually, I ranked them for my husband... I told him 'mine' (this recipe I ripped off) were better than the second-best eggrolls I'd had (a restaurant from my family's hometown that closed a few years before I moved here), but not as good as the best ones I'd ever had.  The ones I got in Cleveland, man... I don't know how/why they were so good, but they were incredible.  I'm going to try a bit more seasoning in my next batch.  The texture was definitely right, and the flavours were there... I don't know what tips those other ones over the edge, but they were just better than any others I've ever had.

I feel like there may have been a pinch of 5-spice in the rolls I used to eat before my GF days. The seasoning is always the hardest part!

Spring roll wrapper dough does not contain egg, but eggroll/wonton wrappers do.  The pancake is cooked, similar to a tortilla, whereas the eggroll/wonton wrapper is used raw, like pasta, and only cooked when it's shaped in its final form and filled, ready for cooking and serving.

Omg, Schwan's has the best popsicles, push-ups, ice cream sandwiches and sundae cones... I miss them...
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
