I turn off notifications for most things.  I turned notificatications on for PMs with the site revamp because I don't notice PMs anymore.  But for the posts, I just come check the site (many times!) every day.

I'm glad it's working again!

Hiya - what scroll feature do you mean? I'm not sure I've noticed this and am curious. Thanks!

On desktop (Mac) when you scroll the native scroll is overwritten by the effect.

Yes, must be Mac only as I've never noticed either.  Have you tried different browsers?

It would be great if this gets disabled, as a developer myself I know based on data in my experience how annoying this can get.

Imagine browsing through different websites scrolling normally and coming to UK-Yankee with user behaviour different in an user unfriendly way(scrolling faster than default).

I really like the content and community here, just wanted to share my experience.

I have a Mac and I’ve never noticed anything odd with the scrolling or anything being overwritten.

I’ve used the site on my Mac, PCs, phones and tablets and the site has worked the same on all of them.

I’m using latest chrome on Mac. I can make a screen video for developers, they must be aware of it though as its intended

What are you actually experiencing on your end with the scrolling? Wondering if somebody else maybe has heard of this happening before or if there's a setting that can be changed but i don't quite understand what specifically is happening other than it being related to scrolling. Is it scrolling on it's own or scrolling awkwardly? Could you try describing it a bit?

I don't know about how it is on the computer, because I primarily use this site on my mobile now, but for quite a long time now, (years), when I do a search, the only results that come up are from the early 2000s, nothing recent at all, ever, on any topic. This kinda makes the search function useless as it is, given that alot of the info on this site is time sensitive. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong, but it sure would be helpful in finding info if this was working properly, I wouldn't have to ask so many questions
Many thanks for all your hard work!

You’re not doing it wrong, it’s just not a very good search tool.

What you need to do is click on the ‘Advanced Search’ button and it gives you many more options, including setting ‘age of post’ ranges, searching for posts in individual sections of the forum and searching for posts by a particular user.

I.e.
