More of a giggle than a LMH.

But there is a guy at work (we will call him Bob) that about 2 months ago started calling me Kat.  I've corrected him a few times, but he's not the best listener.

Anyways, a new person started last week and Bob sent him to come speak with me.  So the company's owner brought him over to my area (he was looking for Kat in finance) and introduced him to us and then said, "see?  We have no Kat."  I was like, "Oh, that's me."  Bob sent you?  LOL.

Bob is only here another week or so as he's resigned.

I think it's safe to say that my love for cats is outdoing my work reputation.  ;D

Hah that’s hilarious!!!

This is hilarious!!

My husband and I are both off work (he's a teacher and I work part-time) and my parents just flew back to the US on Thursday. Today was beautifully warm & sunny and we bought some newspapers and sat outside on the new outdoor patio at our Wetherspoons. So my moment of happiness was getting to drink unlimited tea and do crossword puzzles in the sun with my favourite person in the whole world today. ;D

Sounds absolutely lovely!!  I hope you enjoyed every second of it!

About a month ago, I got an out of the blue craving for Kraft Mac & Cheese. My parents brought 5 boxes over for me when they visited a few weeks ago and I finally made it last night!! We always added tuna when I was a kid so I picked some up + added peas as well. So nice to have a taste of the US/my childhood 7 months after moving here  ;D

It'll be cheaper to have them brought over for sure, but they are there for when you're out of your stock! :)

We hired a gardener to tidy our yard up, we rent but are responsible for the garden. It's like a new space! He even edged in little garden beds for me. Definitely worth the money. And the allergy attack from the flying pollen.

Cheesy Pasta (made by Kraft) tastes to me to be ~almost~ identical to Kraft Mac & Cheese from the States, and it's a heckofa lot cheaper than paying for importing KMC.  ;D

Oh. Gosh. This isn't exactly a moment of happiness, but weather.com is saying it's going to be 86F in Glasgow on Thursday.

Time to order pizza in, keep the shades drawn, get the fans on, and put a couple of gallons of iced tea in the fridge.

And thank goodness we brought the cooling vest!  ;D

This weather is about as far from 'happiness' as it gets for me.  So uncomfortable and stuffy and horrible.
My poor dog is suffering too.  We're just not used to this.  Going to buy a fan tomorrow, but that doesn't help us right now!

They have cooling mats as well as cotton coats you can soak and use to help keep your woof cool.
My whippet and Saluki are inside with lots of water and open windows. We go for walks just after 7pm.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I put a damp tea towel on him last night, but he didn't like it!

Dinner tonight: two kinds of pâte, oysters and cheese.  Notice the goat cheese covered in ash.

Yum
