One of my colleagues near tornagrain has a badger they feed.......he loves peanut butter sandwiches! Now he has brought a family around, so it’s sandwiches for everyone!

I think badgers are a myth. Only seen one on the side of the road....  he was no longer with us.
We have a set down the road from us near a roundabout. Several have been killed there so now everyone is on badger watch at the roundabout. I've only seen the one dead one.

I am so happy I have a loft and a shed  ;D.  Sadly right now the loft is the most organized spot in my flat while I still try and finish painting my lounge and am finally dealing with the last of my boxes to unpack.  My 2 nine hole cubby shelves went up there as well as my 9 Rubbermaid plastic drawers for organization....well... 2 days ago I ordered a portable metal wardrobe bar from Amazon that 6 feet long and it arrived today it and went straight up the loft and then I ordered 50 hangers this morning from Amazon and they showed up today at 7 pm.....so now I have a place to hang all my jackets and hiking clothes and everything else I only use once in awhile...

My handyman stabilized and put new felt on the shed last week....the previous owner had left me a bookshelf and coffee table I was planning to sand down and refinish....the bookcase was pretty wobbly ....was looking at oak furniture land for tv stands.....well.....was on Facebook marketplace and someone was selling a beautiful tv stand for £150.....I looked a couple of days later and they dropped it to £100.... I contacted them and made arrangements to see it and contacted my handyman to see how much he charges for pick up and delivery...went over and saw it ....lovely people....beautiful house.....Tv stand only a couple of months old and not a scratch on it.....bought it.....the exact same tv stand at OakFurniture Land was on sale for £285 with a 13 week wait for delivery..... a couple of days later saw a bookcase for sale....contacted them and went to see it....they had 4 items for sale....I got the bookcase and coffee table.....both in great condition...just needed cleaned ...for £175......the exact same bookcase at OakFurniture Land was £285 with a 18 week wait for delivery.....and the coffee table was from there also.....so have scored big with some of the great deals I’ve found on furniture.....

Makes up for the fortune I spent on my wardrobe for my bedroom....have learned my lesson....bring a measuring tape when looking at furniture....it did not look that big in the store....had to switch my bed around to the other wall because it wouldn’t fit on the one I wanted it too....well, it would fit....but I wouldn’t be able to close my bedroom door....the thing is 8 feet long and almost 9 feet high.... ::).   it did not look that big in store.....but it is beautiful...and well thought out......and even has lights on it.....but a couple of days before it finally arrived I was in Benson Beds looking at tall dressers....and the lady who sold me this came over to ask me if I needed help and I told her I was looking at dressers...she said I remember you....didn’t you buy the Sicily....I said yes and she gave me a strange look.....I finally understood the look when my wardrobe showed up.....it’s freaking huge.....I don’t know if I’m more afraid it’s going to fall on me when I’m asleep or fall through the floor.....and now that I’ve moved my bed to the opposite wall....my heads pointed in the wrong direction for sleeping :o

So my old bookcase and coffee table...which has 6 cubby holes in it....is now out in the shed for helping me organize that...and my guy had to cut the decorative top off it to make it fit.....what he cut off looks like a little bench that’s 3 feet long.....so next spring am going to sand it and paint it a pretty colour and make a garden ornament out of it.....have to find some large people figurines that can sit on it and do a pot of wild flowers on the bench between them.....

So just a couple of more boxes to unpack and then I’ll feel almost organized and the lounge is almost done....have to wait for wallpaper to come in for the fireplace wall and just need to paint the archway into the kitchen....and my sofa finally shows up on Tuesday...and ordered a tv from Costco that should show up in a couple of days.....had my dining table and chairs sitting still in their boxes for a couple of weeks because of painting  in my lounge that I finally opened up 2 days ago.....had to get my cousin to come over and help turn the table upright after I put the legs on because it was too heavy to lift myself (Oak furniture land table and chairs)....and I realized when I sat down 3 hours later after putting my radiator cover together and painting it that I’ve lived in my place since June 16 and that this was the first time I actually sat in my flat....I hadn’t had a chair to sit on since I’d moved in  [smiley=laugh4.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh4.gif]

So slowly but surely am getting there.....the guy came today to put the vinyl flooring on my bathroom floor that I picked out......OMG....I failed miserably at using self leveling floor compound......never again....by the time I got it mixed in the tub it was already drying ....by the time I finished my floor it was a mess......and no where near level.....so I had to use almost a tub of filler trying to even out the worst of it.... ::).   the whole idea of using it was to get rid of the ridges between the tiles that would eventually show through the vinyl....well, I created a whole new set of problems....now the floor is wavy......the only bright side is my bathrooms theme is boats and the ocean with dolphins and turtles.....the vinyl I picked is baby blue......with the waves I created on my now really uneven floor.....it will feel like your walking In the ocean or on a boat deck as you make your way to the toilet .... [smiley=laugh4.gif] [smiley=laugh4.gif]    Really nice guy who did the install....and he had his son with him who was learning the trade.....I told him not to laugh to hard when he saw my floor.....and I said to him I would have been better off just using PVA on the grout lines and filling that in....he said...I’m shocked and impressed that you even know what PVA is.....guess cause I’m a woman.... told him that I was doing most of the work on my flat myself....said you can learn to do anything watching Utube video’s......he then laughed and said to his son.....see.....she learning to do constructive things watching utube videos.....he then looks at me and says.... my son watches a lot of utube ....but it’s mostly porn...... :o [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh4.gif].  The poor kid turned ten shades of red......what a laugh

So...once I get most of my stuff away and organized and the lounge painted....going to take a break for a week or so until I start the kitchen ....mostly what needs done there is to have the tile floor ripped out and plywood put down for the new vinyl that’s going in there and to go get new appliances.....but need a few days where my place isn’t always turned upside down....and if the weather cooperates....would like to paint my shed a pretty forget me not blue.....then once the kitchen is done and all the appliances in....then all that’s left to do is the re lining and painting of the stairs and hallway.....   after that’s done.....guess I’ll have to start looking for a job  :o
