Margaritas made with real lime juice aren't too high on the calorie list either, or mojitos with less simple syrup. ;) (I know all the tricks to make things that aren't healthy less bad)

I leave for holiday on the 24th.  I shall enjoy drinks then.  And maybe a drink on my birthday.  :)  I'll live.  I'm doing a pretty restricted diet at the moment to drop the weight.  Then I'll live within my caloric means once I get to where I want to be.  THEN I'll need help with "good drinks."   ;D

One of my colleagues is wearing a seriously puffy pirate shirt today.  It is taking ALL OF MY WILLPOWER to not send her a link to the Seinfeld puffy shirt episode.  But I can't stop giggling whenever I see her.

I don't remember why, but I remember that being a thing my parents wanted my dad to have at some point in my childhood...  It was well before the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise started.  Oh!  Oh oh oh!  It was from the early 80s... The Pirate Movie!  My dad wanted to be The Pirate King!  ("It is, it is, a glorious thing to be the pirate king!")

I'm pretty sure my dad would not have looked very masculine in one.

Guys! My doctor is so good. He asked me to bring in an overview of all my conditions, so I made an excel sheet with the condition, approx date of diagnosis, and any notes on treatment/followup. He called to tell me he was also putting in a cardiology referral to make sure I'm on their roster by the next echocardiogram that my US doc recommended. I am so relieved. And so thankful the first doctor I saw at this practice is no longer there.

Meanwhile, I was getting annual echos in the US, and now I'm 18 months since requesting a cardio referral and being told (TWICE!) that they would do it, and still not certain it's been submitted...  ::)

If you follow up with your GP office, and you still get no where, contact PALS (or the Wales equivalent). You need that and shouldn't have to jump through these hoops. You may want to find a local cardiologist and ask for the referral to go to them.
