HOLA HECTOR! (I wish I had people to come and fold my towels into dinos! :( )

Conversely, I learned Italian throughout elementary school and had great grandparents that spoke Italian (not that this helped ME at all because I didn't have to speak it with them or my grandparents) so I knew very basic Italian which helped me figure out menu items when I went to Spain! haha

Woooohoo to both! My passport took the exact amount of time they quoted and I was panicking it would never come back! LOL I'm glad yours finished earlier than predicted! :) Knew you wouldn't have an issues! :D

I’m literally SHOCKED it came back so quick. Thanks for the listening ear during it :D

Re towel folding, because I am too lazy to quote individual posts on my phone: Its easier than it looks! Dave and I took a class in it last time we were at this resort. I would be happy to impart my towel folding knowledge upon you.

Re unexpected weight loss: Hooray! Definitely a LMH in my book! Congratulations!

I just had a random (food-related) LMH... I thought I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich, but couldn't be bothered to dirty the pan to make it.  So I looked in the 'fridge and realized I had a packet of Aldi's peppered German salami, and a bunch of other groceries that happened to be in supply all at the same time... My husband and I discovered at New Year's that if you take a slice of that peppered salami and wrap it around a cherry tomato, it's an incredible flavour combination.  It's kind of like eating a sandwich but all in one bite.  So today I expanded on that concept to make... a sandwich!

Two pieces of childhood-harkening sliced white bread, mayonnaise, a "fake cheese" slice, a bunch of slices of the German salami, some sliced cherry tomatoes, and some lettuce.  It's the sort of thing I would often walk into the kitchen to find my family spontaneously doing for lunch on a weekend.  "Hey, Kim... just in time for lunch.  Come make your sandwich!" as my dad gestures with the butter knife at the spread of various ingredients to choose from (two or three lunch meat options, lettuce, tomatoes, cheeses, mayonnaise, mustards, butter-because-my-dad-was-from-Minnesota...).

I should eat more sandwiches.  I miss my dad.  :(

Just had spaghetti carbonara on Lake Como in Bellagio with a glass of prosecco.  The kids made a mess but were happy tucking into breadsticks, pasta, and ice cream.

It wasn't so much a little moment, bit a really great afternoon.

Met my American friend up in Bakewell, which was just lovely. Had the best pizza ever at Ricci's, the cheese was amazingly stringy like it's supposed to be. Got the dogs new antler's to chew on. Grabbed a few gifts from my friends, and  an awesome waterproof jacket for me 30% off!

And to round it out, bubblegum ice cream. It made my day.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I found the most amazing peanut butter at TK Maxx. It's made by Manilife.

So I Googled and found it on sale at Holland and Barrett, plus I had vouchers. I ordered 8 jars. (Almost 300g a jar) I'm shelling out £17 for it but seriously, it is worth every penny. It is a deep roast, salted but not sweetened. Hands down the best peanut butter I've ever had in the US or UK.

Is there anybody out there who *doesn't* like tucking into breadsticks, pasta, and ice cream?! hahah
