Looks very good!

I started crocheting a new baby blanket and a bigger warm blanket this weekend. Both will be gifts (I may have a few too many blankets...) but I love making things. :)

Like awesome octopi!  The Zombies took an instant liking to him, and he has settled in nicely.  :)

The quest to teach myself handy Excel tools continues. I am doing things with my spreadsheets now! *pats self on back*

We've had a bit of an issue with a department that has transferred over to our payroll from another company and all their tax has been wrong this month (for the record, through no fault of our own). I slapped together a cumulative tax calculator in about 5 minutes because I got tired of answering the same questions a thousand times over, so that was my way of saying, "Here are the figures, now F off and call HMRC."

Tonight I've been playing with conditional formatting and more complex (for me) if/and/then statements at home and I'm having so much fun.

(Please don't judge me, I've never had to use Excel before the job I'm in now!)

I'm a specialist in data warehousing and I find Excel completely baffling.  I can't do the simplest thing with it.  You have a right to be proud!

Knowing useful Excel skills will always been seen as a good thing.  And when you learn tricks to make your job easier, it's awesome.

My fun bit that I've learned since returning from maternity is PowerPivot in Excel.  It's super fun.

Back in my Neopet days, I used Google Sheets (less robust, but still pretty good for a free program!) to create a Plushie Tycoon calculator so I could get my gold trophy.  My spreadsheet completely took all the guesswork out of the game.

One of my friends ended up in a community management role that required tons of planning and tracking. He went from hating math to loving spreadsheets in the span of months. I've been periodically sending him info on visualisations cuz it'll help him to learn that too (so he can quantify what he's doing and hopefully garner more interest in the work!)

There are a lot of excel features I don't know, but it's usually "I know how to do this in sas or SQL, how do I do it here?" and a quick Google solves it.

I loved Neopets and played it nearly daily for about 5 years.  I had systems for Plushie Tycoon and for Food Club, ... I did alright for a while.  Then the changes of ownership happened, and the security started to get lax.  My first primary account got frozen because of a Tarla giveaway. Then my replacement primary account was eventually frozen sometime in the last one to four years, because of "suspicious activity" that made them believe it was hacked.  It was, because I haven't logged in since 2013 or so.  I tried to contact them to get it unfrozen, but I never got a response about it.  I miss LordPuffikins.  :(

I loved it, as well. But yeah, things started to really go downhill with all the autobuying and stuff. I had a number of accounts frozen over the years. I liked using the pet pages to practice my HTML and CSS!
