Oh, I'm sorry.   I just assumed you were talking about income tax. I know nothing at all about child tax credits.

Don’t be! It’s ok we’ll pay it if we have to but that system is a broke system, they base your claim on the prior year financial year- which isn’t always relevant.OH should have listened to His gut and not claimed but it is what it is.

Oh, I joined a REALLY nice knitting Facebook group to ask questions of and they're really cool. I haven't needed any help yet, but got lots of compliments on my yarn choice. 😁

You should check Ravelry out anyway.  :)  So many free patterns and and groups according to your interests (not just knitting, I'm in the black cats group!) and inspiration. And it's free!  ;D
I'm not active at the moment because I'm not knitting but I spent a lot of time recording my projects when I was!   :D

I have! I've found some fun patterns and have been adding them to my library.

I joined a facebook group for help.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I've just been enjoying staying home lately & weekends without plans. Okay I've been poorly this past week, so I really needed that. Anyway, surprisingly no itchy feet yet for planning travels for the new year & home is feeling so good. We are off to Malaga for Christmas though. Even so, normally by this time, I'd be daydreaming or planning getaways for Jan through March.

Our kettle broke last week, but thankfully someone had bought us a kettle for our wedding! It was dropped off in Kent, and we finally made our way down there this weekend. So, I have a new kettle!!! (And a toaster, and a blender, coffee/tea/sugar containers and a bread bin!)

I can make my French Press coffee again :D

Woo hoo! French press coffee without a kettle of some sort is challenging.

I can do tea via microwave...I can do the Tassimo...but French Press is just so strong and unique...I am still sipping it. Delicious! It's impossible to make without a kettle or boiling a pot of water and honestly, I've gotten too lazy to wait for water to boil on the stove ;D

My CBT therapist agreed that a neuropsych referral for an autism assessment is a good idea for me after 4 sessions. It will take years, but it's nice to be heard.

Happy for you that you're making some progress in being heard! (I'm sorry though that it'll take years :( That seems so ridiculous). Fingers crossed the ball starts rolling for you quicker than expected.

It's really shocking the way autism was missed for a lot of women in our generation. A diagnosis wouldn't change a lot at this point (it would have been SO helpful when I was struggling in university and couldn't figure out why - mainly social issues), but it could be good for the times when communicating can be a challenge.

Even if it just changes a few crucial things or be helpful to know going forward for how you might approach certain situations, it will hopefully be really helpful to know :)
