It's really shocking the way autism was missed for a lot of women in our generation. A diagnosis wouldn't change a lot at this point (it would have been SO helpful when I was struggling in university and couldn't figure out why - mainly social issues), but it could be good for the times when communicating can be a challenge.

My friend , finally got an Aspergers diagnosis after a few years of the waiting game too.  I imagine she's about the same age as you (based upon things you have posted).  Having the diagnosis has made a big difference already to her (socially, communication, etc)
Likewise, I had another friend diagnosed with Aspergers later in his life and he was so happy to have a diagnosis, because it explained everything in his life.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

Yeah, you would hope people would accept you as you are without the diagnosis just because people are all different. But for some reason when it comes to neurotypical vs not, a lot are not very forgiving when they expect you to respond in a neurotypical way. I've experienced a lot of cruelty because of it when it comes to normal human interaction. I'm 37 now... If they did evaluations like they do now depending on certain behaviour in childhood I probably would've been diagnosed around 5. I had my own language (literally - didn't speak English, only my sister could understand me) and a lot of other little things.

It always breaks my heart when people share stories like this. I'm sorry you've had to deal with some sh*t people.

Enjoy the warmth!!

I am getting my early Xmas present today. New to me turntables a friend was selling. Not as good as what I had in the states but far better than nothing. My husband will be annoyed with my terrible mixing of cheesy music soon enough!

haha I will of course share them when the deed is done. Might have to wait until tomorrow to do it, we'll see. It's only going on the ends as I can't be bothered to bleach my whole head again lol

I asked a friend if they'd be interested in collaborating on some new music, and they agreed. I don't know who will engineer it yet, but they're working on a new album so it was good timing. :) Trying to claw out of this funk bit by bit and I know writing music will help tons.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
