We did a turkey breast in the pizza oven again this year.  This was our Thanksgiving nod... no pudding.  Just turkey (white meat), roast potatoes, carrots, and pan-fried green beans.

Wow!  :D. That looks delicious!   Ours was not nearly as pretty, but it tasted good! :D

Yay for delicious food!  Ours was tasty, too.  I do wish I'd crammed more carrots into those little skillets.  We cooked the water out of them, so in the end, the pans could have held so much more.  But they looked like they were overflowing before they went into the oven.  *assure*

Some day when I know we're going to do a slow cook in the oven, maybe I'll see if we can do some brownies, oh, or the awesome tarte tatin recipe that came out so well last time, too.  Christmas is coming.  We'll probably have a roast dinner then.  Oooh... or bread!  I could make some bread!

I think I'll force the issue... I'll make the dough and then my husband will HAVE to maintain the oven temp for it!  Or brownie batter.  Or prepare the tarte tatins.  We definitely should have pudding with our next roast dinner.

We went out for my husbands birthday on Saturday, realising it was the first time in 3 years that we've been together for it. I was glad pizza express didn't judge when I ordered an appetiser as a meal (lemon chicken wings) and gave him half of it. But we had to leave before cake because of smelly people, so we wandered to Carluccio's to see if they had any. Prosecco and a shared flourless chocolate cake was a good way to end the night! But they also had loads of chocolate on sale, so I now I have chocolate covered coffee beans. Yum!

I'm severely allergic to fragrance :( we played musical chairs after a man doused in lynx sat next to me causing my throat to start closing, and then a woman with crazy strong laundry products sat next to us at the end of the meal. Those two are my kryptonite because of how they're developed to linger. The ingredients are trade secrets so I'll never know what I'm allergic to in them. :(

Ohhh! Aw man that sucks. My brother is the same way. I remember growing up my mom wouldn't let us wear any perfume or cologne or any fragrant deodorant. She would keep hers in the car.. So unfair (to a teenager... Ages ago!)

Adults find it unfair too. It's affected my ability to be employed, be social, pretty much every aspect of life because fragrance is so pervasive and not seen as an accessibility issue.

It's even in the clothes we buy from resale shops.  It seems as if a lot of them must use the same detergent, or perhaps some sort of Fabreze-like stuff. Hold breath while trying them on, and if they fit taking them home and tossing in the washing machine immediately.  I got one item recently that required two washes to get the scent out of it.   :(

There's shops, like Abercrombie, that drive me insane. And I don't suffer from allergies. Can't imagine how it's like to people with allergies.

I can't shop at charity places. In the US they put an insecticide on all, plus whatever the people donating used for washing is still on them. The last time I tried after 10 washes they were still causing hives. I don't shop anywhere they spray scents in the store, and soak all new clothes in baking soda & vinegar before washing. It's a royal pain!

Log Cam is a lot less obnoxious than the huge white Big Brother looking housing that the camera came in.  It's not stealthy, but it blends in with the environment sufficiently.  And we love log.

But... but... leftover turkey and gravy is the best part of Thanksgiving... you only took home the sweets.  I gotta admit, though... I could really go for a brownie edge piece.  Blargh.  I need an oven!

Don't worry, I just didn't take a picture of the savoury leftovers.  Imagine a bed of XKOD 's cranberries, with plenty of Turkey and stuffing.  We plundered the left overs.

That's where all the brownies went.  ;D  LOL.  XoD has reported that they are awesome!

ahahahahaha was just going to say "well looks like we found all the brownies!"

I managed to get literally a tiny strip that - once split in half - was a bite for both my husband and I and OMG even just that one mouthful was heaven!! I need more of those brownies! My husband isn't even a massive sweets guy per se (he likes them but is conscious about it being unhealthy) and he agreed they were amazing brownies.
