Main purpose was for the materials from inside the garage (plasterboard, wood, carpet) that we removed to get the new door.  But we are using this as an opportunity for a massive clearout.  Problem is we moved to this house 3.5 years ago and it was so much bigger than our old house.  Two sheds, a double garage, lofts galore.  It's just left space to keep EVERYTHING and not be considerate about what we keep/purge.

I am so stinking excited that the tip is AT OUR HOUSE and we don't have to drive it down there.  Hee hee hee.

I am envious! hahaha I kept trying to get Rik to let us get a skip for how much DIY we were doing around the house and to purge all our junk but he is cheap (this is not a secret as I've said it before) and so he said "I would rather just take it to the tip for free".....unfortunately I then get dragged along on this and it's my car being used and getting filthy! lol

Totally appreciate what you;re saying about the bigger space. We moved from a fairly small flat in Reading to the house we're currently in which is easily 2xs bigger if not more (especially when it comes to storage) so have managed to get away with storing a bunch of crap out of sight we should've binned years ago LOL

This move I definitely intend to purge as much as possible....only difficulty is I know some stuff that needs to go is stuff that Rik had previously been given or picked out with his mum, so those have a harder time being parted with so just need to find the right approach for some stuff...
My, how time flies....

We booked our summer holiday!

Going back to Croatia and going to Plitvice National Park this time.

Can’t wait!  Hopefully this holiday doesn’t involve hospitals and IV drugs!

I've missed my cuddles with this guy while we've been away.

Bad photo, but the best available. The Nausferatu Peppers are blossoming!  The leaves are striking, and the blossoms are totally unexpected. Can't wait to see how the peppers turn out!

I’m finally over the multiple month plague I seemed to have literally I never had been so down and out in my life. Just in time to enjoy this fantastic bank holiday weekend.

I got husband to agree to sort the back garden with me which is a small feat in its own!

Happy Easter everybody =)

Oh I wanted to do Croatia this year but we chose something slightly cheaper (Spain) as we also have a trip planned for home as well. Fingers crossed no hospital visits are required

So glad you're feeling better Eh!

I attempted to start some plants from seed indoors this year, accidentally starting some a bit too early. But I took advantage of the weather and the fact there definitely won't be more frosts before the end of April to get them into pots. Happy little hot peppers (razzmatazz variety so they'll be multi colored), purple pak choi, and gherkins. I'm hoping the gherkins manage the transplant ok. But if not, I have time to plant more seeds. I planted some of the radish seeds from the pass the parcel box around the edge of the big pot too, and I'm hoping some of the kale comes up in another pot. I never had much of a green thumb in the US, it got too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter, so I'm really enjoying attempting to garden here. Plants make me happy, as does saving some money on food!

Good job Margo!

I'm hopeless at growing veg. but I'm going to try again this year. I need to finish digging over the vegetable garden first but I have some beetroot and salad leaves ready to sow.

Nan, any allotments in your area? You might need to be persistent, check with them to see if anyone wants to split a plot, offer to use space that is currently full of junk or overgrown, etc, but might be worth a go!

Glad you're feeling better!  Those hanger-on ones are the worst.
