margo, those plants look great!  :D I've only been able to grow two plants, and one of them was an ivy so I'm not sure that counts since I've been told those will grow anywhere by anybody.  I would love one day to try and cultivate a little herb and/or vegetable garden, but I fear it would be cruel to the plants since my track record with growing things is so horrendous.  (and I'm totally in love with your bird trellis; it's super adorable!)

It's not true that ivy will grow for anyone... I've killed two when I loved in Colorado. They just weren't happy. They were watered and fed, but they didn't like me.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

My little moments of happiness have been while walking the dogs. I snagged a few nice photos of some bluebells, which are out early this year.

I miss Hobby Lobby so bad!!! I brought some stuff over from there when I moved and they are some of my favorite house items.

It's still TBD if I can keep them alive ;) My husband treated me to gardening supplies and I saw the trellis and was like "this one!", and he bought it for me. I am also trading plants with another nearby friend who has a very green thumb and learning from her.

And very nice bluebell photos Lyonaria!

You guys and your greenery.  Our garden is an archealogical dig site.  On Sunday, my husband unearthed an old broken electric block (we made other finds, but this was the most impressive artifact).
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)

8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Hehe... that's what we said!  Our house is old, and the previous owners made many "improvements". We wish they hadn't.

That is where they decided to extend a patio wider by filling the space with rubbish and laying a very thin layer of concrete over.  Their work was not structurally sound and the concrete cracked and collapsed, so now we have to remove it and all the rubbish they put in.  Broken glass, glazed tiles, wires, whole bags of cement that's set but not set... all sliding and slipping around against each other, providing no firm foundation at all.  Our house is going to take a long time before it's ready for guests.  :/

I’ve spent the past year and a half doing the same.. every time I work In the back garden I find a new surprise. Unfortunately, we don’t own ours and our LL is a cheap man, so I don’t think we will ever be able to have guest over for a bbq as I’m not willing to invest the money it needs.  Over the bank holiday we dug up a bush and found booze bottles, a child’s dolly, and an old toaster.. smh lol

Sometimes on a Sunday I watch the show "Money for Nothing" or something along those lines.  The woman hangs out at the tip and upcycles people's junk.  Pretty fun concept.

But she also said how a great place to look for treasures is in your back garden.  She said to find where the tip in the garden was from Victorian times and dig.  So there she is in her bazillion pound mansion with grounds digging in some random spot far from the "main house" and digging out countless Victorian bud vases that were in tact.

I mean, honey, not everyone has "grounds" to dig on to find buried treasure.  JF does though.   ;D   Cute idea but not practical.  ;)
