hahahaha I know that feel! My husband spent the majority of time fixing the electrics on Friday mumbling "F*CKING COWBOY BUILDERS!" to himself.
Can definitely identify!
I’ve spent the past year and a half doing the same.. every time I work In the back garden I find a new surprise. Unfortunately, we don’t own ours and our LL is a cheap man, so I don’t think we will ever be able to have guest over for a bbq as I’m not willing to invest the money it needs. Over the bank holiday we dug up a bush and found booze bottles, a child’s dolly, and an old toaster.. smh lol
That thing where you're renting and so can't justify spending what it takes to make it nice... that's why I was so desperate to buy a house. Our last place was acceptable to live in, but it had no garden space to speak of, it needed work to make it
nice, and it was too small for more than just the two of us so we couldn't really entertain.... plus, most importantly, it was
not ours, so we couldn't see the value in improving it to the standard we wanted. So we saved our money for a deposit and bought a house (in the middle of nowhere, where real estate is cheap).
I cannot wait to tell my husband about your toaster find! I think you're winning this game!
