We're getting the bathroom paint tonight as well so the bathroom is just a coat or two of paint away from being completely done and dusted! :D I also made time yesterday to go through and organise our bedroom.

We need before and after pictures of the bathroom!

I'm not sure why this counts as a little moment of happiness as it's not anything worth noting really, but yesterday while at the spa for a hen-do, I was told my the grooms mum that I swim gracefully like a mermaid. It made me happy. haha

That's exactly what this thread is about.  Those little things that just make you light up inside.  Like being told you swim gracefully like a mermaid.  Yay, inner joy!

haha but I feel like this is even smaller than those things. It's not even a small victory. I was just happy to be likened to a mermaid. haha

Never thought this would happen....but I've finally hit a point in my time here where I actually need to use my calendar! Like it's to a point where when somebody asks me what I'm up to on a specific date outside of the day it currently is, I ACTUALLY have to check my diary to see if I'm free vs just assuming I'll be at home not doing anything! It can be really hectic sometimes but I am counting that as more of a happy thing :)

Doorbell rang at 4pm.  I'd already received the groceries, and the parcel we were expecting came hours before.  I almost didn't answer because I thought it was my neighbour who pops in about once a week to visit and I was just about to catch up on Handmaid's Tale... but I guilted myself into getting the door.  It was my husband home early, armed with bags of groceries, and the news that he was given the rest of the day and his half day on Saturday off.  Unexpected 3-day weekend!

Now we are drinking boozed-up coffee and playing backgammon.  Joy!

Life's been good to me since he got this job.  And it was acceptable enough before.  I must say, I am happy lately.  Er, happier than normal.  Yay!

Just found out someone I work with who's last name is Atkinson is the neice of Rowan Atikinson (Mr. Bean).  Oh, and she's stunningly beautiful in case you are wondering.
