Been a busy couple of days/weekend so not had a chance to come here and say that all the positive vibes seemed to have worked!!

I got a message fro my mom on Monday after they spoke to the surgeon about my dad who essentially said "I don't have any new news for you......because those spots have disappeared from your liver. I couldn't biopsy them again if I wanted to because they physically aren't there." They basically said all they could do was just send him on his way and have a follow-up in August. We're all baffled, really, but we are absolutely not going to question it! I still have a feeling (probably because it's such a mystery) that maybe they somehow got his recent MRI mixed up with another person's because the spots were there for them to biopsy a few weeks ago but maybe this MRI has been mixed up and he's not really in the clear.....but even so, it'll be fine as he'll be going back in August (not a full year or anything) to check back in so if there was a mix-up, it won't be long before they spot it again I'm sure....but...I'm not going to question it as it's amazing positive news.

Thank you guys for all your thoughts!!!

Also, on a smaller level, I'm waiting to hear back about a job I interviewed for last week. Was told yesterday that the feedback from the interviewers was very positive and they will be in touch probably today to discuss - so we'll see....Motivation at my current job is down as I'm just so unhappy with how they treat people and their good line managers, but we'll see what happens when I speak to the recruiter from the other job...
My, how time flies....

Just did my second lesson with my new driving instructor today.  She is absolutely brilliant and I am so, so glad I found her.  She is the coolest, calmest, and most collected person I know!  It's so much nicer with her in the seat next to me, and nice to not have comments like "you're making a real mess out of this, aren't you?" coming my way.  I am absolutely astounded at the confidence I've gained and the progress I've made in just 3 hours with her.

Feeling thrilled, to say the least.

YAY! I've always told people that - like with therapy - don't just settle with the first person you get if they simply aren't making you feel comfortable and confident. Sometimes you just won't gel with the first instructor and that's totally fine.

So glad you're feeling more comfortable! Keep it up! :D

Woot woot! Got the job offer call just now! Pushed back a little on salary so need to follow that up, but just waiting for the contract to come across so I can take another look at it and do some considering tonight.

I'm not the biggest fan of birthdays, I have the notification blocked on every site that has one. But my husbands family is so sweet and all of them sent me cards! My own family hasn't so that's why it's a bit of a big deal. And my husband got me a new phone because my old one was freezing every 2 seconds (his bricked a few months back and they'd been bought at the same time), so it's been a happy day even if it means setting up a new phone. Off to the garden center for a piece of cake with a friend in the afternoon, and then a lovely homemade dinner in the evening. My husband really wanted to take me out, but dining out is stressful (you never know when someone wearing too much perfume/cologne will walk in) so I'd much rather make food and relax at home! (and even splurging on the homemade dinner and a bottle of nice wine we'll save at least £40 from going to a nice restaurant)
