Had to get up and make myself presentable rather early this morning because I had to take delivery of a crate.  Yay!

For my last birthday, my husband gave me an affordable benchtop planer/thicknesser.  It broke.  Months later, we finally got around to returning it.  Then my FIL gave my husband a much-larger-than-expected cash birthday present (partly to thank us for doing the electrics in his garage/workshop last month).  So we decided to treat ourselves to a much larger and more powerful planer/thicknesser.  It's not the ridiculous one we wanted, but it's much better than the cheap one we returned.

Some day you need to teach me your wood working skills hahah I have found so many things I want to build/make and my husband is not keen on helping me and I just find wood working to be really interesting

When our house is presentable (in the distant future... :/  ), you'll have to come see us!  :)

Wheee!  We just need to fix our house so this can happen!  I keep talking about "someday".  But we've got momentum, now.  We've done a few smaller projects, and our workshop is getting to where it is a good space to work. Hopefully, we'll get some of the major projects on the house done in the next year or two, and then we can start having people over.

I'm so down with the kids.

Do kids today even know what a bowl of oatmeal is?

For sure!  Tesco is full of instant oatmeal packages, I think it's normal here.

What's not normal is cream of wheat, I make that when my kids have sleepover guests and they are Always mystified. The kids I dislike get cream of wheat, if I like them they get pancakes.
