I would give anything for that! It was too hot to sit outside at 10am today, 33 now  according to my weather app. I did at least get to enjoy breakfast in the garden.

I was so pleased when it first started raining this afternoon and it almost immediately stopped! I was WEELLLLL irritated and was afraid it wasn't going to start again lol. Husband said he ran in the rain and it was lush.

Aww! It’s rained on and off all day here and it looking to all night into tomorrow morning. Hate we won’t see the moon but the green grass returning and no more restricting water will be worth it.

Started pouring here at about 9:00pm. Got a little bit of a lightshow, and was able to sleep with the windows cracked open. Lovely cool air.  It looks "soupy" out there again today, but not really raining. I do hope it does. Or at least, that the breeze starts back up. Right now it's absolutely still.

The trees over in the Botanic Gardens were starting to look really thirsty earlier this week, so it's come just in the nick of time. I wonder if there's going to be much of a flooding problem down south? The fields looked really dry when we were going to Durham, and I believe it was worse further south. Super baked soil has a way of not absorbing water very well. Or, some kinds of soil anyway.

As for us townies, the oil that's been sort of gathering on the roads surfaces was liberated by the first bit of the rain - we could tell by the number of sirens we heard wailing past for a while. People forget that the first rain after a long dry spell does make the roads a bit more slippery.

It's good to see the rain again, though.

I'm not sure the rain fell fast enough to cause much flooding. It sounded like it was raining gently most of the night and it's sunny and dry again now. I hope we get some more soon!

Thought it was going to pour a few moments ago - got some stiff breeze, dark and lowering clouds. And it's all just kind of blown by! Someone is probably getting a nice heavy rain, but we've just got a lovely breeze coming through the flat now.

That was us... torrential downpour!  ;D
We actually had to shut windows for the first time in weeks, as the wind was pure howling, and was a bit cold as well.
No complaints!
