Hoisted my sorry backside out of bed early to go to city center to run errands, so I'd be back home before the MET-predicted downpours and wind hit at just after noon.  It drizzled on me on the way down, and has been still with no rain at all since 11:30. Hmmmm. Well, the drizzle was nice.  :) Perhaps the MET isn't the best at predicting? Maybe I'll monitor one of the other services for a bit to see.

The Daughter ground a bag of coffee beans for me and made a lovely pot. Now the house smells great, and I am having a really pleasant afternoon drinking my cup of coffee and watching the clouds not doing much (although the neighborhood birds are out in force) through the window.  8)  It ain't a bad life!

I admit I much prefer this weather to hot, summer days. I told my husband I was going to spend the day alone, shopping, eating sushi (which he hates), and walking around the city centre. I needed to find business casual attire without being hurried because I have 2 job interviews lined up this week. Fingers crossed!

Thanks guys! Yes, both are IT Business Analyst roles so I’m really looking forward to both. I’ve always been on the business/user side of software development so it will be a nice change for me. Challenging but definitely where I want my career to go. Trying not to get too excited or ahead of myself because it will be such a bummer if I didn’t get either job. A long shot since I don’t have direct experience but grateful I’m being considered.

Anyone else feel like Autumn is here already?  :o

The leaves on some of my trees are turning colour and it has just smelled like Autumn these last couple of mornings!

It won’t feel like autumn until I can get my pumpkin spice lattes!

I've been telling myself the leaves were turning from lack of water.
But the last few days there has been a definite feel in the air of autumn. The Daughter even commented on it.
It's been drizzling on and off here for a couple of days. Lovely.

Oh. Coffee. The Daughter has a friend who went back to the States to visit, and came back with two big bags of flavored coffee beans for us. OMG, it's soooo good to have this stuff again!

In Louisiana we have really hot, sunny summers. I'm not necessarily going to miss it, I don't really like summer, but do you guys find yourselves missing those outdoor bbq's with swimming/etc?

Are there any outside pools in the UK? Not sure if this is the right thread, but I figured I'd ask!

Plenty of BBQs, haven't seen an outdoor pool. But we're up North.
People do love to have get-togethers!
