hey all :D

My appointment is coming up soon so it's time to have an all around review of my document checklist. I am applying from within the UK transferring from tier-2 work visa. I know it's very tedious to look through all of them so your time and effort is much appreciated!! xoxo

1 concern: my appointment was made under my old passport number before I got it renewed, I hope this won't cause any issue?

Passport being different is a non-issue.

You do not need:  sponsor letter (he'll be with you) and the letter from the former roommate (won't be considered).

Your list looks good!

I'd probably throw one extra payslip and one extra bank statement in, but that's just me.

And don't forget to write your full names on the backs of the photos.  :)

You don't NEED to, but it will shorten the amount of time you are waiting as *they* won't need to make copies.  :)

If you provide copies, it will also make the decision maker happy, you are going to want to do that!  :)

;) ok I've started making copies now.

I still have a question tho - we have an initial tenancy agreement for 2017-2018 which expired this May, and then we signed another one-page renewal tenancy agreement for the year 2018-2019. Should I photocopy both?  The first one was like 40 pages long...

I would.

Joey, because you are applying as unmarried partners, I would also take a few more "just in case" relationship/correspondence items. You may not need them but better to be safe.

I see. Will photocopy them as well then.

Do you have some examples of the "just in case" relationship/correspondence items?

More correspondance. Extra items so that the gaps are less than 4 months.

I've thrown in extras so the gaps now are mostly 3 months apart :]

One more question -

My partner suggests to add his financial proof(employment income) to the application as well. However mine alone would meet the requirement. Would adding my partner's help? or not necessary?

That would probably just confuse the issue. The financial requirement is black and white, if you meet it with one income, then I would not add another source.

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming =)
