You mentioned others are having the same issue, so if they're aware of the problem it's definitely unfortunate timing and frustrating but IT issues happen. They rarely last more than a day though, so you may want to try the password reset again. I've heard from friends that the most recent safari is causing a lot of issues due to the data capture blocking features, so I'd recommend a different browser with adblockers disabled. And then checking the spam folder in case the email goes there, as they are also usually timed and only valid for a short time frame (for security reasons).
