Hmm so if I understand this correctly. I can use letters which are addressed to my old property as letters of correspondence. And for the accommodation evidence, I would require a letter from the new agent/landlord confirming that they are ok with me and my husband staying in the place?

Correct.  The correspondence is to show that you and your partner have lived at the same address, which is why it's supposed to be spread out over the time period you're relying on.  Since you two haven't been living together the whole time, you'll need to provide what correspondence you can and write a letter explaining that, and provide evidence of your regular contact when you were apart.

Regardless, you still also need to provide proof of accommodation for after your visa is granted... Home Office want to know that you will have a place to live if they let you stay.  If you're renting, this proof would normally be a tenancy agreement and if both of your names are not on the agreement, a letter from the landlord saying it's okay for you to live there.

If you own your home, the proof would be the Land Registry document showing ownership, and the most recent mortgage statement if you have it.

Edit1: New forms are brought out once a year right?

My second FLR(M) was in November 2015... I printed my form, filled it all in, a day later, a new form came out.  They do not have a set time for new ones.  They update, and it's up to us to be sure we're using the most recent.

They just released a new form last month, July 2018, so there shouldn’t be another new one for a while, but do check just before your appointment just to make sure.

Ah thank you very much jfkimberly! That clears it all up.

Thank you for the reply ksand24!
As for the application I will check every week until the day of application to ensure I have the latest form.

Yes, the correspondence is relationship evidence.  :)

Hi Guys and Gals!

I am filling out the form and I am wondering how I should go about answering some of the questions.

As discussed earlier, I can have an address for accommodation but not have letters of correspondence for that address.

So in Section 1 - Applicant Details. Question 1.14 (Your UK address - please inform us immediately if this changes) should I put my old address (if I do not move out before the appointment day) or the new address (if I do move out before the appointment day).

The current moving in date is 8th September the day after the appointment. So say I continue with that can I put the new address under question 1.19 (Your name and address in the UK for all correspondence about your application if different from 1.14).

I understand this is all very confusing and I am sorry for that! I really appreciate the help!

Yes, it will be the address at the time of your application which is your appointment date if you are applying on paper.

Yes, you could do that with the other address if you haven't moved by the time of the appointment. I would mention somewhere in your application the reason why you are giving a different address.

Thank you Larrabee!!

I guess I could put the new address in 1.19 (Your name and address in the UK for all correspondence about your application if different from 1.14) and 6.19 (If no, when and in what circumstances will you be able to live permanently together in the UK - please give full details?). Hmm 6.18 is pretty self explanatory as well.

Hello All,

I have finally completed the application! BUT... I think I might have answered one of the questions incorrectly.

Section 7C - Question 7.8 - Where do you and your sponsor plan to live in the UK?
At the date of our appointment we will be living in our old flat but the very next day we will be moving to the new flat. Should we put the address of the new flat or the old address?

Thank you very much for the help!

You need to put the address that is on your accommodation evidence that you are providing for the visa.

Presumably you are providing a tenancy agreement from the new flat not the old one, so you’ll need to put the new address on the form.

We have the tenancy agreement from both the old and new flats, and we will be taking both of them with us to the appointment.

Now that I have re-read the question, the key word is 'plan' so with that I think I will put in my new flat address.

Thank you ksand24!

Yeah, they need to make sure you will have somewhere suitable to live AFTER the visa has been granted. You’ll be living in the new flat from then on, so that’s the address you need to use :).

Hello All,

Hopefully, this is the final question from me!

Situation:
Current accomodation ends mid September.
New accommodation begins the day after the premium appointment service.

We know for certain sections we will have to put in the new accommodation address. We have just hit section 14 and are wondering do we put in the new or the old accommodation address in this section?

Thank you!

Hello All,

After thinking about the above question. We are thinking since the question is related to background checks, we will be putting in the older address as we won't have any correspondence from the new address.

What do you guys think?
