Don't be discouraged.  You are at 34 business days (by my calculation).  Most are hearing back at 40 business days right now.  So that's early next week.  You may be about to have your LAST WEEKEND EVER as a resident of the USA!  ;D

I think, when I applied, I got my hopes up thinking it would be approved within 4 weeks (LOL) Silly me.

I didn't think 40BD though.  ???

I was thinking 25-30. I guess I just got my hopes up and now I'm disappointed. It really does help to know that others are in the same boat (even though that totally sucks) but it gives me some piece of mind to know that I'm not alone-or that something isn't necessarily wrong with my application.

LAST WEEKEND EVER! I'll be here for a few weeks after the vignette comes in. (AND IT WILL COME IN APPROVED RIGHT!?) #positivity

I'm not putting in my notice at my job until I have an approval. So I'll have to work out my last week or so. I still need to have my garage sale (scheduled for 2 weeks from now) and then I should be good to go. My husband wanted to celebrate my birth day in France (my birthday is 6 September) but now we aren't sure if we'll be able to. Just another disappointment in this whole process.

Ok, sorry for whining so much. It's just a bad day for me I guess.

Gets old pretty quick, doesn't it?  :-\\\\

YES. omg yes it sure does. I feel like my muscles are so tight and my stomach is constantly aching. I feel like I did something -wrong-

Like that feeling in the pit of your tummy when you're a child and you do something bad. :\\\'( :\\\'(

Does that make sense?

Ack, I'm going crazy

We completely understand how you feel. I know easier said than done, but just keep positive. We will hear from HO soon. I am apart of another group and a non-priority fiance visa got approved and they are on the same timeline as us...So decisions are being made just depends where in the queue we are...Keep your head up and know your turn is coming. Big Hugs..

Thanks for the hugs. I would love to meet you guys in person in ENGLAND someday!!

I got the e-mail from the ECO...I know they have it....I just need to hold out. I think today is just one of those days. Monday and all that.

I'm with all of you!!!
I just spent 4 days at a music festival, which was a great distraction! That said, I still couldn't shake the general feeling of anxiety and sadness over my visa. It really does feel like it's never coming (I know it is, but I totally get the discouraged feeling!)

ALSO, the dishes is already a huge battle and I don't even live there yet!! I've already pretty much figured that i'll probably always have to wash the dishes because the not rinsing thing just grosses me out!

I think I'm just driving myself crazy thinking things like
"What if they didn't see my priority receipt"
"What if my package got lost"
"What if what if what if"

And I see that it's really pointless to call them and ask about visa status, but I keep thinking "what if it takes two months" Our wedding day is 13 October.

I'm just super negative today.  :-[
I am right there with you. We are planning our wedding on 17 Nov. we are hoping that it won't be to much longer because the registry office told us that we need  to prepare for 70 days after we give notice to marry before we can marry to make sure all is in order. and for any further investigation. We were hoping that I would be home before his sons 18th birthday mid August, not looking like I'll be back for that but I suppose we will just have to do another celebration when I do get back.
I do the what if in my head every day.  Yesterday was one of my downer days.
Hopefully not much longer for you and I...and everyone who has been playing this waiting game with HO

So funny seeing "Tollie"

It's our "ship" name. Tom + Mollie = Tollie <3

And thanks! I've been pretty positive for the most part...but some days...I just can't. I am stuck at work all day just thinking about the visa over and over and waiting. It's really maddening. I love this forum!!

#positivity

This week will be one of those flurries that happen with UKVI.  The forum will be inundated with "IT WAS A YES!" all around.

We used to have occasional UKY meet-ups, but they seemed to have fizzled out a bit.  We need a UKY social butterfly.

I'm starting to feel guilty about trolling you guys about the dish soap now that all the posts are getting so sad.  The egg part was completely true but the stuff about solvents in the dish detergent was complete BS.  Just goes to show you can't fool Tami no matter what!

Here's my best wishes y'all get your visas
