"UM NO. You never get used to it!"
No you don't... I feel like I'm about to explode. I just so badly need to feel his arms around me and tell me everything will be ok.  I'm so sorry I am being a negative nancy today. I don't want to bring anyone down. i just don't know who else to go to and even though you should be able to go to your partner and family and friends but I don't want to bring my fiance down and my friends and family won't understand what I am feeling or going through. Uggg..... I would not wish this feeling even on my worst enemy. this is just torture.

Come on Sheffield. Grant our Visas...

We can have a forum Pessimist Party!!

It's totally okay I've been a Negative Nancy for weeks now. Vent away!

It's actually easy to vent to you guys even though we haven't met. There is a lot to be said about similar situations....we are all kind of in the same boat. Yay for the Internets!!

On a side note, (let's distract ourselves) have you guys encountered anyone who just...doesn't know anything about other countries? Someone here asked me "So, like, do they have cars in England?"

Really... ??? :-X

Haha! Goodness.....people have asked me "where is the UK?" Come on!  You don't have to be a geography major to know where the UK is on a map. So, whereabouts in Wales are you headed?! I loved Wales. I daresay I loved it more than England!

South Wales...Near Cardiff....OMG I love it there. Can't wait to get back and call it home.  I have only seen the countryside of England. And Heathrow...LOL....Both Nathan and I are looking forward to traveling and see what the UK has to show us. Unfortunately like everyone, you really don't explore your surroundings because you are either to busy or you just get in that frame of mind, Oh it'll be there tomorrow...I can explore it anytime. I have plenty of time. So even Nathan is excited to see his own country and we get to do it together. :D

Tom went to college in Cardiff! I LOVED IT! He moved to Swindon a couple years ago for work. Swindon is nice...but it isn't Wales! lmao! I got to go up to Scotland in 2017 (that's where he proposed) and we got a day-long bus trip thing from Edinburgh to Hadrian's Wall and back. I saw lots of Scottish/English countryside. In 2016, me and Tom drove through the Brecon Beacons in Wales. Have you seen North Wales yet? They have these beautiful slate roofed houses and little streams and rivers. I felt like I was in an episode of some amazing Medieval movie setting.

I was asked this as recently as last week:
"When you need surgery, do you have it in a hospital, or do they not have those there?"

The absolute best one I have ever heard was (honest to goodness, not trolling), "Do they have the Moon there?"

I presumed it was more meant like, "What is the view of the Moon like from a higher latitude?" ... I hope.

My grandma constantly asks if the UK has some of the most basic items. “Do they have microwaves there?” “Are there malls there?”

She also cannot comprehend most people don’t have to file tax returns, lol

To be fair, I’m still not over no epidural for the birth of either of my kids.  THATS ALL I WANTED!  Well, really I wanted healthy kiddos and I got those...  but you know.  Someday I’ll stop mentioning the no epidural thing....  just not any day soon...
