Yes! And since we won't be driving....drinks!! We can follow KFDancer's advice and get some margaritas! We can share our stories in person! I love London, I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. If we all get along in person and have a good time we could totally make it an annual thing.....I'm getting ahead of myself haha! That's how much I enjoy chatting with you guys! And as jfkimberly said we're littermates now XD!

That last sentence reminds me of something. In 2012 I went to London (my first time in the UK) and I was traveling on the tube with my classmates who were ALL drunk and they were so obnoxious. I was worried we'd be deported!

I also have a very interesting story about my experience at Blenheim Palace if ya'll are interested....

Lots of us have lived to tell the tale.

I started on a work visa, switched to a spouse visa after a few years (5 year path, roughly 10 minutes after the "new rules" were introduced).  And have survived two FLR(M)'s, ILR, and Naturalisation and now proudly hold both USA and UK citizenship.  This will be you guys in a few years (though you'll be broke as a joke).   ;D   All done with this forum (not the work visa as that was taken care of by my employer).

I hate to think of the size of the diamond earrings that could hang from my ears would be if I didn't have to pay all these visa fees.

In the end, it was between earrings and being with your Brit, so I think you made the right choice ;)

I'm kind of jealous of you right now XD Dual citizenship is on my bucket list!

Ok so I was at Blenheim Palace on tour with my university group. There were only about 12 of us, plus 3 professors. It was my first time in England, I was about 20 years old, ecstatic and generally freaking out over the history. As the guided portion of the tour ended, the group branched out and we all went to different places. It was raining, and the palace was under construction at the time so most of us stayed away from the gardens (A decision I regret now!) I'm not necessarily a "loner" but I do enjoy exploring historic buildings and such alone because no one likes to go with me because I read every text panel XD So out of habit I went off by myself. I was strolling down one of the big covered walkways. It was pretty dark, and I saw a massive lamp above me and a button on the wall. This button resembled a door bell. So, I pressed it. The light didn't switch on, so I started walking away.

Literally 6 seconds later the fire alarm went off! Sirens were blaring all over the place, people were being rushed out of the building, etc. And of course, I'm there playing innocent asking people like "oh no what's happened?" And on the inside I was like "OMG I AM GOING TO GET ARRESTED IN ENGLAND" It was actually ridiculous.

Turns out, the construction workers had released a massive cloud of dust that somehow set off the alarms. I don't know how that's possible....but that's what we were told happened. The button didn't say anything about being a fire alarm...so I'm concluding that it wasn't me XD

You'll want to visit Edinburgh during Christmas market. It's magic.
