After a nightmare of a journey,  I'm finally home- all stamped and legal!!!!! Had a flying visit with my husband's mum and granny, made it halfway home and stopped for the night. I get to see my dog and all my friends tomorrow!

It's incredibly surreal- this has always been my home in my heart, even before I met my husband. But now it's my legal home, which is amazing. I'm not gonna lie, when we touched down in London, I absolutely teared up!!

Home office contact hub finally responded to our lawyer with:

“I am sorry to hear that there has been no contact from Sheffield, I have asked them to look into this urgently and will let you know as soon as I have a response. Please can you let me know when the wedding is planned?”

Doesn’t seem like anything to me. Now on day 42.

It's getting closer....I am so ready to be in England. I've got my 2 suitcases....got my phone taken care of (my number of the last 10 years will deactivate on 6 September, and I'll get a UK NUMBER!!!), and I've gotten my money all sorted and transferred. I still have 6 days left and I hardly know what to do with myself....I want to leave NOW!

EEEEE!

Do you have a plan for keeping in touch with your US people?

You can spend this time buying me all the things I'm missing and find some way to squeeze them into your surely overstuffed bags!  ;)
