I live in Houston and there has been talk about a tropical storm coming around Tuesday night or Wednesday. However, I’ve not heard much about an actual hurricane coming. It’s more the nervousness of having a bunch of rain dumped on us again and causing massive flooding. Thankfully, it isn’t looking like something we can’t handle.

As of now, it's set to hit the LA coast Tuesday night, really late. By Wed it'll move into Louisiana, and by Thursday into Texas. Hopefully it'll have weakened enough by then!! I am leaving LA at 9:40am, and then my flight from Houston-Manchester leaves at 7:10pm....Hoping I'm out of the way before it comes!

We had that awful flood in 2016 (wasn't a hurricane, just rain) and I have family that were hit by Harvey last year. These states are dangerous, man!

And you will now be living in a country that names every windy day. They don't know weather here. Lol

HELLO!

I'm baaack!!!

Update: After arriving in Swindon and seeing my new apartment for one evening and having Nando's with my husband, we drove to Dover the very next day, took a ferry to France and enjoyed a lovely French dinner in Calais! We promptly fell asleep after dark, and the next day we spent driving around Calais, into Bruges for a quick lunch and tour of the town, then we "popped" into Holland for a lovely (and chilly) dinner by the beach!! Once we left France, we drove to Kent to meet with his family. I love his family so much! I'm still on cloud nine. I think this week will be the -real- settling in week. I'll have the entire week to explore the town, and the apartment! We've already made a few changes.
