Love all the rainbows! Especially for signs like H&M!
Almost every business goes all out for Pride! Every store front has a pride flag, show material or merchandise.

And then there are the churches...

I have a pride flag on my desk at work. And we have an Allies Group at work that I am a founding member of. And I just completed the Stonewall Allies training (this is awesome and I recommend for everyone!)  So I am quite happy for everything to be plastered with rainbows.

We've got an alliance for LGBTQ + Friends at work and I joined that network as well! but apparently the campus I'm at doesn't have an active community :( But I was enjoying all their photos from Brighton pride and some from Netherlands.
My, how time flies....

Our work goes CRAZY for pride.  I'll see if I can dig out some photos from this year's various events.

Yeah we apparently had loads of floats and we sponsored certain stuff and it was great to see the photos!

Allies are so important!!

I've got a big gay family. My two daughters are gay, my son's fiance is pan, her brother is trans, my ex husband is trans, (MtF) my American  best friend is trans and then I have all of their friends. One big gay happy family!

And them being in the non accepting south scares the shite out of me.

My daughter felt so free and alive in Amsterdam. Not one time did she feel her normal levels of anxiety.

Yeah that is scary to think about I'm sure!

I am so glad your daughter got to live it up in Amsterdam! I just wish it was the same back at home :(

Pancakes!
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Tami, your daughter is so cute and super-photogenic!

My work has a big, active network, and my church is basically known as 'the gay church'.
It's St Mary's Cathedral, within the Scottish Episcopal Church -- my priest is gay and an activist...he's always in the papers ('senior cleric says x,y,z...') I didn't go to Glasgow Pride this year, but they always have a big stall and they celebrate big style.

Awww, that's wonderful!   [smiley=smitten.gif]  This is why PRIDE is so important. She should always be able to be herself.   [smiley=smitten.gif]

I too have a big ole gay family, including my grandfather who just turned 92.
And one of my best friends, she (identifies with female) just gave birth to twins and her wife (also identifies with being female) has been able to do all the things that allows her to breastfeed too. Which is so amazing.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
Work permit (2007) to British Citizen (2014)
You're stuck with me!

I love that we can discuss our big gay families freely without judgement here :) Uncle, cousin, and many friends fall under the lgbtqia umbrella. If you're ever in Gloucester MA I can recommend a bed and breakfast owned by my uncle, it's right behind the Gordon's fisherman statue.
