Please help with flr(m) income calculation
« on: August 03, 2018, 04:50:03 PM »
Hi,

I am hoping to apply for flr(m) in September under category A- salaried employment.

My husband receives a basic pay of £3650 each month. In addition he receives night duty, additional roster hours ,weekend allowance and zone allowance. These appear seperately on the payslip. However, in the June and July payslips, all the additional payments apart from the basic pay have been grouped together as ‘Others taxable’ . This amount also includes some agency shifts not mentioned in the contract.

When answering question 7.3 - ‘indicate the amount of income you wish to rely on to meet the financial requirement’ - ‘Current annual salary’- can we just use only the basic pay to meet the requirement(3650*12) and write that amount?

Also for question 7.3A (xiv) what is your sponsors annual income from their employment before tax? - do we write the same amount given for question 7.3?

Many thanks in advance!

UKVI will calculate your income themselves regardless of what you enter in those boxes.

As you only “rely” on his basic pay, I’d put that for the first bit.   For the second bit, you can approach it any way you want.  You can take his earnings for the last 12 months and use that.  You can take his average monthly pay and use that.  Or you can just put his annual basic rate salary.
