Here to say hello and have loads of questions....
« on: August 06, 2018, 05:16:01 PM »
Good Morning
I met my fiance on his Poetry page on facebook in Jan. Soon we fell in love,  :D ... he came to visit me from England in June... proposed at the airport  :), I of course said YESSSS.... well...now comes the difficult part.
We spent 5 hours video chatting Saturday going over the Fiancee Visa i need to get in order to move there.
I am so happy, but so confused as to several things...
Cant wait to get started and over there and IM SOOO glad I found this page, as i can see i will be on here a lot.
I plan on sending in my Visa application next month (sept), but i am confused as to the Bio metric appointment, do I make this? Is it made for me? I live in Texas, the  Panhandle area, and the closest dept for this is 2 hours away which inst an issue... I am wondering if anyone else has gotten a Fiancee Visa and moved to England and how long it took... i am at a loss..
Any help would be so appreciated..  ???

Welcome!  :)

You're bound to have a lot of questions about the process so why don't you start a thread over in the visa section and we'll help you out there?

But you should know that it is much less expensive altogether less stressful to get married in the US and apply directly for the spouse visa. One less visa application for starters and logistically much less difficult.  :)

Thank you so much... I will head over there and post questions and have a look around, being new, its taking me a while to get the hang of how to use this lol... wont take long though..
We thought about that, and have lots of questions on that too because I have no clue, regarding that either , due to his job and cost of flights but i will see what i can find out about it.

Welcome!

I’ve been to Amarillo several times!  I don’t know how many people can say that.

Look forward to seeing you in the visa section, where we will try our hardest to convince you to marry in the US.

Put it this way.  Even though my now-husband and I were both living and working in the UK, we married in the US.  Sooooo much easier and a hell of a lot cheaper.  And it wasn’t a family decision as we eloped.   ;)

Welcome, Mrs PM!  :)

I must admit, I feel like "I've seen it."  lol!

My brother worked at the University there for a few years.  And then a boyfriend's mom lived there and we went to visit her a couple of times.

Lot of sand and cacti...

Lot of sand and cacti...

Lots of churches and restaurants.

And the iced tea place!  You go in to this shop (or use their drive-through) and it's nothing but tank after tank of different flavours of iced tea!  That cracked me up!

I must say I like the look of this site and from all I have read so far, I think darling, that it was a very good place to stumble across. If it wasn't for this group I wouldn't be flying back out in a couple of months to marry you, So looking forward to taking your hand and saying "I Do"
If it doesn't want to be loved, love it harder still until it does

Oh how scary that would be!!!
You probably don't know them... they are in their 70's, retired, and their life revolves around their church activities.  :)
Unless you work at Jason's Deli... they seem to be in there almost every day.  Or Fuzzy's Tacos.

But but... Amarillo... the Cadillacs!  Nobody cares about them anymore?  That's the first thing I think of when Amarillo is mentioned.
