Greetings all, I have been living in the UK on a series of visas since 2007 and have successfully completed my 'Life in the UK' test - yahoo!

...HOWEVER, I CANNOT manage to book a date for applying in person. I keep looking and there are absolutely NO dates and ANY centres on offer - does anyone have know if this is always the case? Is there any work around this?

Many thanks in advance everyone!

Congratulations on the pass! Are you applying based on 10 years long residence?

All you can do is keep trying. They seem to randomly release appointments so you will get one, just might take some persistence!
Try after midnight and overnight.

Just keep checking!  From my relatively recent experience (February this year), it appeared that cancelled or otherwise newly-made-available appointments in a few days'/weeks' time could be released at any time, day or night.  I initially had the same issue with booking my in-person ILR appointment but eventually found one after checking all day, every day(!!!) for a few days.  As I recall, the appointment I booked was made available around 3 pm, and there were also a few others to choose from (including some of those out-of-hours 'premium' premium ones).  I was checking all the centres (and would've been willing to travel to any of them at that point) but fortunately ended up with an appointment at the centre nearest to me.  Best of luck! ;D

It usually takes a week or two, bonus if it's quicker than that.  Don't give up!  :)

Yeah, just keep at it.  I was checking all day, every day for about a week before I managed to book mine.  Hang in there!

...man...thank you!

It's agonising but we have never had anyone not be able to book an appointment eventually!

I would keep trying irrespective of the day of the week!

Hello all, sorry to winge, but I've been at this day and night for over a week now...has anyone managed to secure a premium date for visa/settlement at one of the sites during this time?

Any additional suggestions/strategies VERY much appreciated - is it true that now even immigration lawyers don't have an in for securing premium settlement dates?

Thanks again for your experience strength and wisdom!

hi, I had the same problem last month - I started checking for dates right after I passed my Life in the UK test on 12 July, and I couldn't book an appointment until 3 August, after weeks of increasingly obsessive checking. I also tried day and night, and just kept the window open on my browser while I worked so I  could try at random times. The site repeatedly crashed and froze, and was worst right after midnight, in my experience. I suddenly got a range of open appointments at Sheffield in the morning on the 3 August, and was able to book easily. Very frustrating and stressful! Good luck!

Thanks very much for your response - I see there is a lot less interest on this forum for we that are not running into the arms of a hopeful love for life...just the hum-drum having lived here and worked here for many years...congratulations on getting a date - I'm persevering...this too shall pass!

Huh?  I wouldn't say we aren't interested... but what can we do to help?

I'm interested!  But all we can do is support and cheer you on.

We will be applying for FLR next year and I am following your journey to see what we need to do.

It is frustrating, but you will get there.
