My September payslip SHOULD have been able to be included, however my job screwed it up and although I was granted a payrise in August it wasn't included in my August or September payslips and was instead put in my October payslip as backpay.

I even have the letter from my job that explained my payrise and when I would start getting it but unfortunately that isn't conveyed in my payslips.

God, that makes me so angry now.

Okay, then - unfortunately, I believe that will mean you'll need to wait until the end of April/early May to apply for the visa :(.

Well at least I thought of asking now rather than March when I would have been more upset, I thought we were in the clear but had a sudden bad vibe so thank goodness for this forum and you amazing people.

I have an interesting question, an opportunity is coming through my work where I could become an Apprentice and gain a new qualification and training.

Will my husband's visa be affected if my job title was to change  - I would still be working for the same company (have been there for 12 months now) and would be earning the same amount of money (which meets the income requirement)?

I'm interested in the opportunity but won't take it if it will affect the visa process.

Can anyone show me an example of how the conversation evidence needs to be set out?

I've seen it described - just names and dates needed not the actual text - but I'm struggling a bit visualising it.

Here’s a basic example of downloaded Facebook messages:

And an example of what a selection of Whatsapp messages might look like (it's the same message copied and pasted, but it could be 24 messages, 1 per month or per week), though you would need to make sure you screenshot the person's name at the top as well, which I didn't do here:

Thank you! I've downloaded my Facebook message history but it doesn't look like that.
It's separated mine like this:

NAME (him)
(message)
Jul 19, 2018 5:14pm

NAME (me)
(message)
Jul 19, 2018 5:13pm

So can I print screen these and just block out the message? - I tried uploading a picture but it wouldn't let me

Our Skype messages have downloaded in a similar format to our Facebook messages

Mine didn't download looking like that either - I took screenshots of a few messages from different files, then blanked out the personal details and pasted them into Word.

Ideally you want to just crop out the message completely so it only shows the name, date and time of each message. You should be able to get about 20-30 messages on each page, with no more than 2-3 pages of messages in total.

My husband wants to speak to a professional about how is entry refusal to the UK last year could affect his visa.

I've tried telling him that it will be ok as long as we explain what happened in our respective letters and provide the documents from his entry refusal but he would still like to speak to someone.

Does anyone know who he can reach out to and what he should say when he makes contact?

I have suggested contacting the British/American embassy - not sure which one rather than an immigration lawyer because I don't think a lawyer would be very helpful and just want to charge us loads of money.

I can't really recommend contacting anyone, because there really isn't anyone he can talk to.

His refused entry WILL NOT affect his visa. It simply needs to be declared on his visa application and any paperwork included, to show he is being honest. If he was only visiting when he was refused, then that will have no bearing on a spousal visa application, because he is no longer trying to visit the UK so the reason for refusal will be irrelevant.

- The US Embassy cannot help because they only deal with US immigration.

- The UK Embassy also cannot help because they do not deal with visas.

- A lawyer will just try to charge a load of money to 'help' him and then will probably give bad advice.

Thank you, I will show him this again and hope it'll make him feel more comfortable.
His nerves have kicked up about 1000% now he's realised that he's submitting the application this year.

This would be so much easier if he just used my account but he's too nervous to talk to other people.

He wants to know if that changes because we got married 3 months after the entry denial (that hadn't been the original plan but his refusal kicked things up a gear)

That will have zero change.  You are not and have not done anything wrong.  Truly nothing to fear.
