ok, I need HELP, I am without saltine crackers, I am too dang afraid to go into the grocery stores because the few times I have been, it was horrible!!! ( I cant even maneuver the shopping "trolleys")
Anyone know of any good "morning sickness" remedies that I can get over here without eating "cardboard" tasting biscuits or cookies???????
I suffer this horrible crap something awful and an vomiting at least 5 times a day if not more!!!! It's driving me nuts!!!!!!
*help* hate going to the doctors, and desperately trying to avoid it.

They aren't exactly like saltines -- a little harder and a bit less salt-- but Doriano Italian Crackers are pretty close.  I've only been able to find them at Tesco.

Try mints.  I looved Altoids and Mentos in early pregnancy, they really do help and you get the freshest breath as a bonus!   ;D

There is a cracker called TUC which is more of a cross between Ritz and Saltines that worked for me. The Italian crackers are closer to saltines but not as salty and a bit harder - which was bad on my bleeding gums. The TUC isn't as buttery as Ritz but melts pretty well in your mouth. Keep some by the bedside and before you get up nibble them to help settle your stomach.

How about the motion sickness bands they have.  When I was on BC I was often ill and these helped a lot!!!

Here in the states I was told to

eat blanched almond about six of them or

take 50mg of B-6 every 4-6 hours or

and get this

smell lemon juice.

Now none of it worked for me. My case was to strong and I was given meds they give to cancer patients after radiation and chemo.

Make sure you stay laying down and eat something before you get up. Crackers are a good choice. This helped me at first. I was ill from 3 weeks until I gave birth. Nothing seemed to help even after the meds were given. But hang in there. My case was rare and you should feel better soon.

You can also try raspberry tea. I know some on here were told to take it to have the baby. I was told to take it to reduce the mornig sickness.

It happened with both of my children in 1995, girl and now in 2004, boy. I was REALLY hoping for it to be easier the second time around. No luck on the part, but the end result is just wonderful!

I had m/s terrible with all four boys. The last was so bad I lost 20lbs. I looked so slim but felt so crappy! lol
Nothing worked for me. I tried watered down gingerale, crackers, etc. And I might add I had it throughout the entire pregnancy. The best advice is eat tiny bits at a time. DONT let yourself starve or you will feel a hundred times worse. In the morning choke down a piece of toast and before lunch try a little bit more. I used to starve because I felt so sick and then I was throwing up stomach acid. (TMI)
Also stay hydrated. Choke it down you will feel better.
Hope you feel better soon!

One word: ginger.  It's amazing stuff.  Any kind will work, but I found crystallized ginger worked the best.  The ginger kills the queasiness and the sugar gives you a bit of energy.  I used to carry around a jar in my bag.  Saved my life my first trimester.

I used to find scrambled eggs at midnight and toast first thing in the morning helped with my first pregnancy, and my second I had infections instead of morning sickness, but with this one, I'm in bed by 9pm (usually) and in the morning I'm right in for cereal.
I have weighed myself and I have lost, yes LOST ten pounds!!!!!!!!!!! I'm starting to get frustrated as my taste buds don't allow for many different options LOL. (I haven't even dared try curry yet) Saltines I love!!!
*sigh* oh well

Altoids make a ginger candy..try to find those, they are gold.  Other than that, hot gingery, mint, or chai tea and perhaps some tortilla chips to suck on? :/  I know it's hard, but try to drink lots of water.  If it gets too bad, see your GP.  With my first baby, I was so dehydrated they gave me an IV and then a shot, and my morning sickness quickly improved for good.

Poor thing. :(  Best of luck.

I wonder what it is with mints and pregnant ladies?  During my second pregnancy, I couldn't get enough mints.  I loved Glacier mints -- practically lived on 'em.
