Well, peppermint is good for upset stomachs, so perhaps that's the connection. I wonder if I should eat the AfterEights my husband has hidden.....

My problem now is bleeding gums & mouth sores making it too painful to eat. Oddly enough it seems that stomach bug got rid of the nausea - but left me with a painful mouth....I've had morning sickness since about 4 or 6 weeks in.  Had it with my first child, but didn't have any of the mouth problems I have now.

I'm not sure what it is about mint..or ginger..or just things with a sharp taste in general.  Sometimes spicy food would help.  Maybe a potent flavor sends the right messages to your stomach to chill the heck out? */idle crap theorizing*

Hmm..it was all such a blur..several weeks into it until..5-6 months along?

*about to start sucking all the candy canes off the christmas tree now*
I started about 5-6  weeks in for my first and again for this one......it was all yeast infections with my second one.
I'm going home to the states in 2 weeks and am stocking up on saltines lol they seem to answer all the problems.
One quick question tho, how did u all get ur little time lines up for ur pregnancy in ur profiles??? I tried it but all it did was posted the url thingie instead of the actual cute lil picture.... :-\\\\

I'm going to give some of these suggestions to my DIL. She's had MS soooo bad that she's been hospitalized twice so far for dehydration.........even with the anti-nausea medicine, the poor thing is queasy all the time (and she wants off that stuff as soon as possible!)  :(

13 weeks on and still not much better. Hopefully at least one of these suggestions will help to alleviate the MS!

I got 'evening sickness' from about 6-20 weeks.  I was fine all day.  But come 4PM and I would retch till bedtime.  I tried it all - ginger tea, seasick bracelets, breadsticks, etc.  It finally went away . . . to be replaced by acid reflux so bad I had to go on prescription medication.

Hope e/one else's clears out long before mine did.

With my first I got into a routine.  I would eat half my meal - toss it back up - then brush my teeth and finish the rest of the meal... :P

LOL!!!  Nice!!!

My mom said she had saltines by the bed!  So before she even got up she ate a few.  Another friend said never leave your stomach empty but never be to full, that was the key for her.  But then it must be different for everyone.

Saltines worked for between-meal nausea.  And for some reason, if I drank in a little of the water from the showerhead when I showered in the morning, that would quell things a bit as well... ???

Even water made me retch.  So I drank sparkling water.  Then I got acid reflux and couldn't drink sparkling.

Needless to say, I'm in no hurry to get pregnant again!

I just remembered one thing that helped a little. I used to send my husband out to the Cinema a few times a week for a huge slurpy. Cherry was my favorite. The ice helped a lot. At the end of my pregnancies I always ended up chewing ice. It seemed to help settle my tummy for some reason.

Ill spare everyone my curry in the bathtub story!  [smiley=puke.gif]
